[Chase stared at the parallel bars set up in front of him, his wheelchair pointed toward one of the open ends of it. He was supposed to be waiting for a nurse or some kind of spotter before doing this but the Crow couldn't stand being in the damn wheelchair a moment longer. He hated being helpless like this and having to rely on others for so much of what he used to be able to do on his own.

A glance at the door and he put the locks on the wheels, grabbing both bars as his feet set on the ground. It felt odd, the floor under his bare feet again and Chase looked down at them only to give a rueful laugh. They looked pale and weak, but he hadn't lost much muscle mass in his legs which was something he was thankful for. His arms he needed to tone again what with not being able to lift weights because of his ribs. At least he could do that now in his wheelchair, the doctors said his ribs were as good as new again but to lay off doing any squats with them for a few more months.

But he dallied long enough, hoisting himself up onto his feet and pushed up with them as well. Immediately they started to give, knees buckling and hurting. Chase bit back a curse and pulled himself up again, arms shaking with the effort but he managed to support his weight long enough to lock his knees. Even if he was panting with the effort.]

Ha... This'll be longer than I thought...

	[Moron. :\| ...He's growing sort of fond of the blushing. It's been awhile since he got to see something like that from Chase, and even then... it was never over this sort of thing. But Allen will remain quiet as well as Chase goes in the other direction, still watching to make sure he wouldn't fall.] ...I saw him, too. But I wasn't sure if he was really back... [His own value in the eyes of other people is very low in his head. He's grown up being nothing to them but a temporary face, a tool to be used. In some ways he's not used to being worth something to someone else, wanted, in different ways yes, but not valuable otherwise.

Each time he does something like this, the things in relationships that he's unfamiliar with, Allen can expect a blush. The last time Allen saw him blush was on his birthday when he got that forehead kiss.]

He's comin back, 's slow. 've been wantin ta put'im closer ta my room so I ken keep an eye on'im. 've told'im 'bout Seren this time 'round. Still refuses ta call me "Hunter" though.

[And yet he thinks Allen would risk his life for him. Get with the program, Chase - whether things work out between them or not, you are loved so very much. You're a piece of Allen's tiny little world now. Not a vital one, not one he couldn't manage without, but an important one nonetheless.

He'll enjoy every single little one~~]

I'd help you get him to move in... maybe we could just push him in a room and say it's his. [...pausing a little, though. What?] Hunter?

[Not risk his life, just yank him out of the way so Seren wouldn't get sick waiting for him to come back to life. He's adjusting! It's just...slow going when all you've had for all your life is nothing close to that except in childhood, a childhood you barely remember.]

It'll be a while yet before I get ta go back ta my rooms anyway. He's fine where he is right now. Jus'...check in on'im?

[He looks up from his feet, positive that he told Allen, but apparently he hadn't. Unfortunately removing his gaze from his feet make his legs buckle a little under his weight.] New record, 51st one. I have ta be a Crow fer it in tha house o'one o'my former students. 'm workin with Link o'all people.

Yeah... I can do that, it shouldn't be a problem. [Whitey was a friend, after all. He tried to look after him too when he could.

gkfhdkjah-- taking a step closer to Chase the moment his legs buckle, hands out stretched, though he doesn't move to actually touch him yet since he's still holding himself up.] A-ah... So it's 'Hunter' now? [Hums...] Well, he didn't really seem to like 'Ehan', either... [Though... he only really remembers that from the memory of Whitey dying.]

Chase mumbles a thanks and slowly tries to get his feet back under him now that he's looking back down.] Hate this... [Hates feeling weak and for a moment he just stands there, head hanging.]

Fer a few months now. But...'ve stopped seein'im. [Really the record name was the curse that let him see Fourteenth, change the letters around and Ehan becomes Neah. A name that he never knew.] In his head 'll always be "Lavi"... Watch out fer tha chair, yeah?

[Stubborn moron. :T] I know... [it's said softly, and Allen reaches a over to cup Chase's cheek in one hand. He doesn't tip the Crow's head up though, instead moving closer to bury his nose in Chase's hair, however briefly. He knew... Weakness was something he could understand. Thinking you could do so much, and then being limited by a weak body... He'd never go back to that.]

...that's good, right? [that he wasn't halucinating, that he could get on with his life.] Because he likes you. [Pausing though, and letting out a soft 'ah' before he steps back and away from the crow, being mindful of the wheel chair.]

[But Allen's for the most part. Chase leans his cheek into the hand, eyes closing as he just soaks up a bit of Allen's closeness. He's one of the types that try to overcome it at least, push on past it as best as he can and get it back. Just wishes that Allen could do the same.

A soft snort.] They're still here, just not at home. And he's got a funny way of showing it. [At the chair now Chase slowly turns himself around and just glances at Allen for help as he starts to sit back down in it. Muscles are finally refusing his orders finally and he's shaking a little with the effort to sit.]

[This is true. ♥ It's... a little upsetting, that Chase smells so much like that hospital room now. It's not a smell that should be on him... Allen noses at the top of the Crow's head the slightest bit before he pulls away, trying to find the proper scent underneath it all. Hey, being like this is just as good in his opinion.]

...so you still see him here? [Shrugging, though. Whitey was... well, Whitey. He just didn't do things the way he should. He stands directly behind the chair though, making sure it wouldn't go rolling out from underneath him, while he hooks places his hands on Chase's sides to help steady him.]

[It'll go away when he gets back to his own room or at least out of the hospital, a shower with his own soap and he'll be a new man. Actually, he pretty much gets to do that after this. So Allen will only have to bear it for a short while longer, so long as his legs let him stand for a shower, otherwise it'll be a bath - which he's hoping he won't have to take. He'll need help.]

Fainter than before 's all. [Allen's hands help and finally he sits with a sigh of relief.] This'll take longer than 'd like. [Chase closes his eyes and unlocks the wheels.]

Still... that's better than nothing. [Leaning down to nose at Chase's temple when he finally sits down again. And if Chase doesn't go to start moving the chair himself, Allen will grab the handles and start wheeling him out of the room.]

[Probably taught him how by now, and it does seem like Bike is going to use the talismans to keep Allen and Seren safe and out of harm's way. And Allen won't be able to deactivate those, Lavi's will have a different lock that Lavi would have to teach Allen himself.

Zane is in the house, Deke dropped him off earlier, and runs up barking, jumping in Chase's lap.] Yeah, yeah. 'm back, Zane. Dinna Deke teach ya no' ta do tha'? [Putting up with the dog kisses, though.]
