So today, I managed to delete the master CSS file on Scribbld. Absolutely no idea how it happened, but I've seen it happen before, lame. Fortunately I pulled a copy from the backup server as soon as I noticed it (which of course was 2-3 hours after the fact). Oh well. jimmy fixed the search box CSS on the control strip so it looks decent now. I am starting to think about developing a new theme for the site, something darker.

So yesterday when I was the barn, I was leading Magic into his stall and his ass and my arm got squished between the stall door. It ended up fucking up my cast. It was pinching me, not enough for serious pain, it was just annoying. I ended up cutting my cast off. It felt SO GOOD LOL. I'm going to be calling the doctors so they can reapply a new one, as much as I don't want too. But I think it'll only be for a couple more weeks, so it won't be too bad.

So I managed to clean up the house today, also went food shopping and got a few errands done in town. Chatted with raf for a bit, he brought his laptop to work so we got to video Skype. Was fun. I also called him on the way home and when he went to go pick up some ice cream. I think the copy of CoD4 I bought him got to his house today too, so that's good. I can't wait to play.

I can't stop listening to the new Senses Fail, Sky Eats Airplane, Secret and Whisper, AFI and akissforjersey. I LOVE MUSIC!

LtDan sent me this thing on Miley Cyrus today, very very, even more funny when they mentioned Lizzie McGuire :) Raf is trying to get me to watch that Charlie Unicorn shit on YouTube, NO! >____<!

I met some guy on FaceBook, Sato Suzuki, he wants to help me with my Japanese so I am pretty excited about that! I really have to start studying and working on my writing again. I just need to find time and all...I also need to watch all these animes/J-Dramas I downloaded. So much to do and so little time.

Hahah yup that was me, I guess I accidently deleted the site-wide CSS file so the main site probably looked a bit "boring" for the last few hours! Sorry!!! I pulled a backup and ran through as much of the site as I could and it looks like it's good to go!

I've been so crazy busy lately, I've just not had time to write anything. Fortunately my schedule for the next couple days isn't really that bad. I mean tomorrow, I will be AFK pretty much all day, but at least it's not like work or anything! Anyways, what's been going on...

Thursday night into Friday I spent a couple hours on Skype chatting with the boys. That was definitely a lot of fun. I've not talked to a bunch of them in a long time so it was nice. We had a mystery guest which no one knew who it was so that funny. I think I finished up with them around 12:30am and then raf and I worked on making a Warcraft server set that links his realm and my realm. I thought it would a good learning experiment and it definitely was. Very easy to accomplish though. I think I shall write up a forum post on Mangos at some point too. We ended up going to bed around 3am or something haha

Been really busy either working at the office or out in the field. Previous to yesterday I have been working in the office. I enjoy it, but someones got to get the paper work and phone calls taken care of...lol. Yesterday I did get out though and got to go all the way down to Middlebury. Definitely a really nice drive down there...and it's a nice town/city whatever. I think I made it home by 3pm and I chatted with raf for a little. Then I took a nap until like 4 or something, maybe a bit later. Then I played airsoft until about 10pm? Or something, I can't rememeber haha

Had so much fun. The green laser I bought it so badass. I put it on both my MP5 and my M15A4 but I think I like it on my MP5 the most. So we got through like 10 games or so and then we all headed home. I got 7 confirmed kills which was nice, I think I only got shot like 2-3 times too :) After that a bunch of us stopped at McDonalds....I just got a small fries and had some of the water I brought. Came home...

I think I posted one message to Twitter and went to sleep haha

Woke up around 7am this morning cause Raf was leaving to fly out to PDC, so I got on so we could chat before he left. He got his new Blackberry (ew) but that's nice cause he can use MSN on it. Unfortunately since it's on the plane he had to log off...BUT they do have ethernet jacks and I assume maybe WiFi (its one of those new Virgin planes). Maybe he'll be able to get back online, that would be nice, not just for me, but to be able to surf the net while you're flying, that is so COOL. If not, I'll talk to him in 5 hours or so when he finally lands in LAX.

Today I'm not really doing much of anything. Absolutely NOTHING on my schedule which is awesome. I am going to go back into bed after I finish writing this, going to wake up late...have a yummy breakfast or lunch depending on what time it is...and if I am hungry. Then just lounge around ALL day :) Tomorrow, I'm driving down to NH with a friend so we can go to the shooting range. I plan on cranking out a couple hundred rounds on their MP5 and probably the AR15 too. I love them! <3. I might be taking Monday off, but I am not sure...we'll see.

I must admit the weekend was very nice. I got in a really fun game of airsoft. I got 5 confirmed kills and I definitely had an awesome time. I spent most of the weekend researching MaNGOS and patches and compiling and stuff. Finally I got it all completed this morning. I updated our 2 realms and they work wonderfully. I am really proud of myself for getting it all going. Obviously I couldn't have done it without  raf 's help Hehe. I think we both stayed up until about 3:30am yesterday which was crazy. I spelt like a rock after that! Unfortunately, I think we spent the entire weekend WoW-less.

Yesterday was absolutely miserable until I got home and finally got on World of Warcraft with raf . I had this consulting appointment down in NH at this wicked fucked up place. It was so bad. I won't go into to much detail, but it was crazy. I ended up smoking the first cigarette I've ever smoked since like 2004 or so. I was so goddamn stressed out, it was BLAAAH!!! Anyways...

I've been trying to deal with this whole MaNGOS, Trinity new databases and all issue as best as I can, but now they're just making it rather confusing. Currently MangoAdder doesn't seem to support the new GIT stuff, so I've had to manually run the commands and all, and I have only got it working with ScriptDev2 at the moment. I am sure it'll still work with AuctionHouse Bot and ImpConfig. I've just got to figure out how to do that all. I don't think it'll be that had, "manually" patching for SD2 was simple, one line command.

Last night Raf and I played some WoW together. I had a really fun time, I totally just forgot about the day and sunk into the game. That's why WoW is amazing haha. I think I finally got my mic working on Skype, which is awesome. We had fun chatting and laughing.

I had to leave around 9:30 or so, Nikki came over. Just to hangout and chat about girl things, you know :) We watched a movie and fell asleep around 12 or so. I was so tired.

Oh I also got some COD4 in yesterday which was awesome, hit level 2-24. I wish I had ym G36c back though, I love that gun. I got the Cisco switch updated so that a few specific ports use portfast which means the 360 doesn't bitch when I try to login to LIVE. Thank you Lt! <3

Today, not much going on, thought I would go riding. It's a rather nice day out, although a bit cold, 1 degree above freezing. BLECH! I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Today I finally ditched Camino. I was reading my usual RSS feeds and one of them had an article on Flock; a web browser which I had completely forgotten about and seems a lot more fun to use then FireFox. For those of you that don't know, Flock is a web browser based off the FireFox code-base, but it's got a lot of neat social tools built-in. FaceBook is one of the tools built-in and I absolutely love it. I do wish it had the FB chat built-in though.

Anyways, last night raf and I got some World of Warcraft in. Both hit level 18, which I believe is higher then our Undead chars. We definitely got a lot done. I believe we got all the Northwatch stuff done which is awesome. We noticed a bunch if not all the escort quests we've encountered so far are bugged which sucks.

In sort of other news TrinityCore has had it's first release and I must say it's sounds like it's going to be really nice. Finally a core that includes patches and stuff, no need to do all that stuff yourself.

Tonight I plan on going riding. Currently I'm working up in Burlington for this cool company. I am hoping to get all my stuff done by 4PM, but I am not sure if that will happen or not.

Yesterday I pretty much spent the entire day getting ArcEmu and Mangos WotLK emus up and running. Finally maybe around 8pm or so I got them both running and working! I even logged into to make sure they were ok. Had a buncha issues because I for one am terrible at actually reading directions. Either way, I finally got it working and had some head bashing on the desk haha. Of course raf thought it was hilarious, little did he know I would be LMFAOing at him later in the night. Once I completed setting those up, he and I proceeded to play Warcaft on our normal server until about 3:30am. We got to level 17 I believe and got a buncha new spells, skills, etc...I am really coming along in my leatherworking and skinning :) Same with First Aid. I am so much in love with this game.

I woke up this morning around 8am or so. Headed up to Burlington to meet this guy I met. Let me tell you a bit about him. He works at the local Gamestop and Best Buy and goes to college too. I think he's absolutely adorable. I've definitely got one of those high school crushes going on, not sure if it'll turn into anything more then that, but who knows. He's into pretty much the same stuff I am, gaming, music, movies, etc, you know. He' a pretty good guy all around. So this morning & afternoon we just hung out at the water-front, walked around. Got some lunch and then he had to head to work so I came home. I am sort of  hoping this turns into something more, but I am not sure yet :P

Anyways, I came home...got some lunch, worked on The Mangos Resource. I am still trying to figure out what this TrinityCore means for us normal Mangos users. Hopefully my buddy gets back to me soon. I am wondering if like most splits & merges if they'll realized like 1 or 2 months down the road that it was a stupid move and come back to how it was. I've seen that happen so many times, and it really sucks for us end-users because then we are the ones who have to run database converters, figure out how it all works, etc...it definitely is not fun.

Just chatting (if that's what you'd call silence) with raf and helping some guy connect to the Warcraft server here. I think I'll just go watch a movie or something and take a nap...peace xoxomorgan

I think everI woke up this morning around 10am or so. raf   and I were up until 4am again playing World of Warcraft. I have SO much fun playing that game with him, especially when he's got voice on cause he's makes the FUNNIEST comments ever. It's hilarious! I am looking into getting voice options turned on (so long as the server core supports it). I think that would be rather neat. I know official has it, but I am not sure if this software is capable of it yet. So yeah, we're level 12 now, and we've pretty much completed the Brill zone, I have a feeling we'll be going down to the Sepulcher area to quest...definitely have a LOT OF FUN! I've actually got some screenshots to post, but they're on my PC so they'll have to wait for another time.

Today I spent about 8 hours working on some new web stuff for the server and getting our server submitted to a bunch of top sites for gaming. There was one site I had trouble with, I think it was because our website runs on a non-standard httpd port, which sucks, but the rest of them worked well. So the 2 sites I got up and running are the Armory and also some new forums for the server. I think every thing came out looking really good and it all works REALLY well. There's a few bugs left over to squash but it's nothing that completely ruins the site.

jimmy worked on TheMangosResource.com a lot today, still has some work to do on the forums like adding some forums and changing some other around. Definitely looking awesome though! I am glad we've got the software updated and the 2 pieces of software mashed together again...haha

Ok, so the other day when I went to update my Scribbld the update.bml page was all smashed together, there was no text box hwere you type in your entry, so I tried the usual things, signing out and back in, removing all my cookies, resetting Camino and nothing was working...but it worked fine in Safari (weird?!). So the next thing I did was download a beta build of Camino 2.0 which did actually fix the issues. Today I thought of one other solution I could have used instead of downloading a new version of my web browser. I could have tried to delete the PLIST (preference) file which I am almost sure would have fixed the issue. I won't know for sure, but I guess using this new build is kind of cool, right?


The next thing in my mind today came when I was coming back up from the barn. MangosProject was down today, showing some sort of database error if I recall correctly. Ever since I started visiting them again, I've noticed there are usually no less then 11,000 users online at that site. It definitely has had troubles sending private messages and even posting messages on the boards. My assumption of today's downtime is that the database just got too overloaded (but don't quote me on that). Either way, it got me thinking about how you could break up a set off forums so that you could run it over multiple servers. The answer that came to my head right away was to use multiple web servers. Obviously a really easy solution to implement. But that doesn't really fix the database getting loaded with so many requests. So I pondered in my mind for a bit long about how the heck you could use multiple database servers for forums. So then it came to me, that you could IF you wanted run your categories off a database server. For example, let's say you've got 1 category with 10 forums, another category with 5 forums, another categorywith 15 forums. You would need 4 database server. 1 server would hold users and user information, sessions, and possibly be the web server, and shit like that while the other 3 database server hold content and whatever else is associated with a forum. Obvsiouly a lot of work would be required to have some sort of setup like that, but farming out categories to to their server would reduce the load on a single database server, once the user clicks into a category, their sent to a new server. You could even combine it with multiple web server so you have 6 servers or so instead of 4.

So those are my ideas of the day, mostly just random incoherent thoughts :D

Well, I over-worked myself again and I made myself think I could do all this shit, but as usual I failed and I didn't get everything done I needed to get done. It's like 6:15pm now and I've still got a rather large list of shit to do, and absolutely no motivation to get it done right now. I mean I've got a lot of stuff done today, but not nearly as much as I wanted too. I think I did a couple things that could have waited until this weekend, but whatever.

So yesterday, I asked Raf to play WoW with me, you know on my little private server, no big deal right, and he made it sound like I asked him to marry me or something absolutely insane. I felt like an ass lol. Whatever, it's not like you know, I got COD4 and Hamachi and all that bullshit so I could play with him...I do that for him, why doesn't he even try something for me. Am I asking to much? Maybe I am, I don't know...at least we agreed on playing TF2 and Counter Strike: Source so I won't complain too much...but for me, maybe he could have tried something else...I tried Skype for him too, so HAH! JERK! Ok done.

And then today, I was like oh you should try airsoft, and he said something dumb about that so I was like eh whatever fuck it and left. I think I am just stressing out too much right now. I need to go play some CoD4 or something, or just relax with the horses or take the dog out for a nice long walk.

Good news, PC snagged Wildfire s01e09 for me. I finally can complete season 1 now! Yay.

I'm going to setup my own TF2 and CS:S server (maybe tonight) and I think now you can use bots without having an extra application. I have to double check on that. It'll mostly be for my own practice, but I'll probably open it up to the world just for kicks. I'll probably install another GB of RAM into the machine...although it's been bitchy about booting lately so I am afraid to turn it off now that's actually up and running haha.

Ok, well this weekend is nothing, just hanging out. Might go get together with some friend or see if there's any airsoft going on...

Well I've finally got a bit of time right now to relax so I am going to! I guess by relaxing I mean writing in here. I spent like 15 hours yesterday working on bringing the 2 servers back online. Fortunately it wasn't just me, jimmy and I worked together on the project and we pretty much finished the rest of it up a couple hours ago. Mind you today's work was just little tweaks, we did get Unrealircd up and running for the Scribbld chat but that was the biggest thing we worked on today.

Hopefully you all have a nice weekend, I do wish mine was a bit more extended. I did get to do some riding this afternoon which really relieved some stress. I obviously didn't go to Boston like I kind of wanted to, not a big deal. I might be going out to California this week, but again, a very big "maybe". I am still not sure about what I should do about my boyfriend, he actually might be cutting his trip early so he can come back here and see me, really nice of him, he says he misses me and a;, so that's always good, he called me a couple times today which was very sweet of him. I think we'll be okay! :)

I think I am out of things to say, I've eaten my yummy dinner of noodles and now I am going to go watch a movie or something. I did get my hands on Hellboy 2 and Ironman, so that sounds like a fun night.

For anyone else that uses the rich text editor here on Scribbld, when you first start writing, does it knock you down a line, so that there's a blank line and then it starts writing?? It happens for me on Camino in OS X...just curious if it happens for other people in other browsers...

Just worked yesterday, didn't do anything to special, I did go riding in the afternoon before it started pouring out...I enjoy the rain but it's been raining for like weeks now!

This weekend we're re-doing a bunch of the servers, so Scribbld among a bunch of other websites will be offline while we complete that :)

I think I shall get some breakfast now, yum yum!

Well we just had a bit of downtime there. Definitely sucked, and I do apologize to you all. The RAID set became degraded for a reason unknown to us, but we rebuilt it and everything seems to be fine. I did just reboot the server one final time and now it all looks good.

So I spent today riding a lot since it turned out to be a nice day. It was a lot of fun, I spent like 3 hours riding, one for each horse :) Definitely had a great day, took a nice long bubble bath (listened to like 2-3 episodes of Diggnation) and now I'm just about to head to bed. I've started to feed the horses a bit later then I normally due, slowly transitioning them into a later breakfast :)

I got myself another subscription to that anime server, getting a lot of new stuff. Mostly stuff that I've been reading about in AI.

As of yesterday we got a lot of work done in preparation to update Scribbld to the latest code base. That's defintiely a good thing since our code a little bit older then a year old. We got the Last.fm stuff working which was the major thing, now we've just got to run through the site and have a look at styling stuff and a few other features. I ended up having to get VMWare, I think either the actual dev box is on it's way out (which wouldn't surprise me, as it's almost 10 years old) or the hard drive is dying. It could definitely be either one of those, I am kind of hoping that it's the hard drive and not the box, as it's a good little computer. It's also the first custom built that we've owned.

After finally getting that figured out (the LiveJournal people like to leave A LOT out of the documentation), we got the chat working again and this time it automatically inserted your Scribbld username in as your nickname which is one feature I really wanted to get working. It was actually relatively easy once I thought about how to do it.

Well, I'm hungry, I don't know what to have for breakfast, the boyfriend is just waking up now, maybe I'll go jump him or something while he's still half asleep. Hehe, evil me waha haha

I think today I'll be planning out an upgrade for this weekend or something, if it's crappy out. I'll re-do both Scribbld machines. I might also dump cluster 2 onto Palomino, which would be nice. I eventually want to get rid of Percheron, or at least re-do the machine. It has so much crap on it lol.

Took the dog to the vet, everything is okay, she's all up to date on shots and everything which is great. I've been working on the Scribbld dev server a lot today. Getting a lot more done then I thought I would. I mean I haven't even starting working on the site, I'm still setting up the server but it's going really well, I'm even documenting it which is god because when it comes time to actually update Scribbld I'll have the directions to do it all. Also for setting up new webservers when the time comes :)

Chatted with Raf and PC for a bit too, but they're both pretty quiet :P

Also got some server access back which is nice, I've been needing some movies lately. They also have lots of other goods too hehe. I got my hands on Hancock and so I think I will watch that this afternoon, should I finish my dev work in a reasonable time. The boyfriend is also going to stop over after work later this evening, yay! Ok, that's all for now, xo.
