Michiko flopped back down and covered her face with her pillow. "Uuuuuugggggggggghhhhhh, I can't!" she mumbled into the pillow. After a few incoherent slews of curse words she removed the pillow from her face. "I made an absolute fool of myself Marianne Parker. You're going to kill me. You probably should, you should just smother me right now. Here's the pillow," she held out her pillow to Mari, halfheartedly hoping she would take her advice. How could she ever face anyone again?
"Firstly," Mari said, taking the pillow at Michi's command. "Tell me what you did, and I shall deem it worthy enough of death."
Even through her own mild panic, Mari's interest was piqued enough to stop going through all the hexes she knew incase Addy came after her in her sleep.
"I... I made out with... someone... but just a little bit and he was like no, no, we can't. And I was all stupid drunk and hormonal so I automatically thought he didn't want to touch me because I'm still fat from the baby and who wants to make out with a mom? But now I know we shouldn't have been kissing in the first place because we just shouldn't and I'm never going to be able to look Gre... ohfuckohmyfuckinggod," she hadn't meant to say that last bit aloud but once she got going she just couldn't stop herself.
"I've ruined everything," she bemoaned her actions and his from the night before. Grey didn't have to lean in for the kiss, Michi could have pulled away. They were both equally at fault and she couldn't help but feel terrible about it.
Mari had sympathetically been listening, trying to interject with a "no you're not" or "shut up you look fine". She was in the middle of a "don't be silly" as the name of Michi's partner slipped out and she gasped loudly.
"Oh my god, that is serious" was all she managed, before realising that probably didn't help. "I mean, I'm sure it's fine. He probably doesn't remember, right?"
"Oh god I hope not," she covered her face with her hands. "I mean... I cried. I was drunk and crying because he wasn't kissing me because I'm fat momma but could you imagine if I had slept with him last night?" she shivered. "You know I love him but that's like incest! I would have had to pay homage to my ancestors and commit the long honored tradition of seppuku when one brings shame to the family."
"Uhhhhhhg, stupid stupid stupid Michiko. What am I going to do? I have to talk to him right?"
Killing ones self was probably a little over dramatic, to say the least and Mari tried hard not to let a little smile show.
"Well, you could not talk to him, spare yourself the embarrassment but resolve nothing. OR you could bite the bullet, talk to him as soon as possible and get it over and done with." Mari bit her tongue thoughtfully. "Rachel and Joey got over kissing in Friends?"
"But Rachel and Joey aren't Michi and Grey," she pouted. "He's so sensitive about everything." Sure he didn't let it show but Michiko just knew. "Oh fuuuuuuuuck, I should talk to him. I can't just ignore this," she sighed.
"What about you? What terrible awful thing did you do last night?" Please don't say you slept with Gael. She kept this thought to herself because she knew it was her own fault for not staying with him and running off and making out with Grey. Life choices Michiko.
"It's okay, just go find him later. At dinner? Boys are most happiest around food. I think. Just don't let him run off. Fuck, and don't tell Hunter." Perhaps her and Michiko were in a more similar boat than she first realised.
Okay, she guessed it was her turn now. "I woke up on the quodpot field with.." Mari lowered her voice to an almost whisper. "..Leon Shaw." By now Mari was convinced it was Leon, after all she usually went after moody boys. "What if I like, did stuff with him?"
"Especially that fatty fat fat fuck, give him bacon and fried food and he's completely zen," she shook her head. "How am I supposed to keep this from Hunter? I tell her everything! Ohmygod do you think she would kill me? I think she would kill me, no, no she won't kill me, she loves me right? Oh this is soooo fucking complicated."
Michiko was still laying on her back with was kind of perfect because Mari didn't see her smile. It wasn't particularly nice to not tell her. "Really?" Michiko asked, feigning curiosity. "How did you get out there with Leon?" she asked lowering her voice.
"She will definitely kill you, because she loves you. Never tell her. I'm not going to scrape you off the commons in itty bitty pieces" Mari warned.
Leaning more towards Michi, Mari was still whispering. "Well, that's the thing. I don't remember anything. I don't even know where my shoes are! I don't think we should have drank that bottle of Jerry's before we went out. I left him on the field, do you think he'll have forgotten? He'll have forgotten. I mean, he must have been wasted because the sprinklers didn't wake him up."
"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck," she sighed. She couldn't imagine keeping this from Hunter, she also didn't want to think about the look on her face if she did tell her the truth.
Michi sat up, grinning wide. "You really don't remember anything?" she asked.
"Wh-why are you smiling?" Mari looked slightly horrified at her friend's lack of sympathy. "This isn't funny, it's serious! I don't remember a thing! What if I-" Mari cut herself off, raising a hand to her mouth.
"What if I lost my virginity to Leon Shaw and I don't even remember? You're going to have to go down there and check" Mari stated matter of factly, pointing at her crotch.
Michi snuggled up to Mari, giggling, even though it hurt her head to giggle. "First of all, you would know if you lost your virginity. Are you lady bits sore?"
"It was Gael," she laughed finally. "We made a whole scene at the dance and I kissed him... I think... but not on the lips," she said quickly. "And we ended up outside, I can't remember how we got there. We might have been kicked out or maybe we just left. We were talking about taking showers together," she laughed.
"And I needed a cigarette. I told you to meet me on the quodpot field. That's when I ran into Grey," she finished her recollection of the night although it was a bit fuzzy.
As Michi explained, flickers of memories came back to Mari and her smile grew into a massive grin. "Eco-showers!" She cried happily. "Oh man, I am so happy it wasn't Leon" she groaned, suddenly feeling a whole lot happier. "But that still doesn't explain what happened on the quodpot field." Mari tried her hardest to think back.
"Well, at least one of our lives isn't over" she said, trying to make a joke.
Michi didn't really feel that much better but she laughed remembering the good bits of the night. "And something about bio-diesel," she added with a giggle. "I can't help you out with what happened on the quodpot field baby. I should have gone with you, fucking stupid ciggy butts, causing trouble and getting me to make out with stupid boys."
She just groaned at Mari's joke. "Ffffffffff, I'm never drinking again. Although eco showers were a pretty brilliant idea."
"Cigarettes are the devil's work, Young Michiko" Mari warned, grabbing a pack and flipping it open. "Which is why we should smoke them all and try and figure this big fat mess out" she added, cracking open the dorm window and stuffing her wet dress along the bottom of the door.
Michi pulled herself out of bed and joined Mari at the window. "Yes please," she snaked one of the cigarettes out of the package and sighed.
"Gregoire is probably the number one concern at the moment," she said lighting her cigarette. "Then Gael, oh I really hope he doesn't remember half the shit that happened last night," she sighed. "I really like him," she leaned her head against Mari's shoulder. She sighed heavily.
"Then there's Hunter... and oh my god can you imagine the looks on Keegan and Sim's faces if they ever found out?"
"He's a nice kid" Mari agreed, going on what she knew of Gael before last night, anyway. Much nicer than his brother. "You should totally do something with that, it might take your mind off Gray, you know?"
Mari gave a pained look and stroked the top of Michi's head. "I don't even want to imagine" she agreed,
"Yeah, that's true, I should get lunch with him," she said. "Definitely off campus," she added as an after thought. She couldn't stand the thought of potentially running into Gray while on a lunch date with Gael.
"Should we try to figure out what happened on the Quodpot field or are you content not knowing?" Michi gave her a little grin.
"Make him take you for ice cream" Mari suggested. "Ice cream cures everything!" Though Michi may have been feeling a little better, Mari's irritation with Gray seemed to be growing by the minute.
"Ugh, no. I'm sure it was nothing terrible. I mean, I didn't wake up sticky?"
"Mmmm... ice cream," she giggled. "It really does cure everything, well... everything except hang overs," she grumbled. "Can we just smoke ciggy butts and snuggle until our hang overs are cured?" she giggled.
She laughed even more. "Not sticky is always good," she smirked. "It was probably just silly stuff, maybe you showed him your third nip," she teased.
