Hyborean Age: Battle
Svalin was up with the rising of the sun. She watched the sunrise from the abandoned house they had stayed in for the night. Battle was coming and she could never sleep the night before a battle. It wasn't nerves. It was anticipation for the coming fight. Today they would hunt down this Thulsa Doom and if they were lucky, Varnae as well.

The day would be clear and sunny and perfect for battle.

Svalin, needless to say, was looking forward to it. She wasn't sure about the other Avengers, but she sensed the anticipation from the redheaded woman warrior and the male warrior. He reminded her of her brother and it made her miss her siblings.

She should go check her equipment and weapons. There was a battle coming.

	Ryan was staking and slashing at any vampire that got near him and sending powerful blows to the heads of nearby cultists and throwing some kicks in for good measure. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Eli nods, circling around to Thulsa Doom's right. A vampire rushes at Conan from behind and Eli freezes the vampire in place, then flings the bloodsucker across the room. "I am ready when you are, Conan." Eli says. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Charlie continued to use his shield to throw back the priests and the cultists. With a powerful throw of his shield, the heads of several vampires came clean off. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Thulsa Doom uses Eli's preoccupation with the vampire to charge his staff with energy and swing it at his back. "Minions, your master beckons you!" He shouts, rallying the cultists. He throws a red magic flare into the air which explodes, showering the area with dark energy which makes his followers even more bloodthirsty and violent. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Svalin yelled and attacked with more energy and enthusiasm. She spun and one sword cut a vampire in half and the other followed taking the head off a cultist. They tried to claw and pile on her, but she kept moving, knocking them back. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Eli pays for his momentary distraction as Doom's attack scores, ripping through his coat and managing to injure his skin beneath. The wound will heal, yes, but it's still moderately annoying. 	Ryan stops holding back now and really let’s loose on the vampires using his full deadly skill with knives moves smooth and fluid almost like a dance. Though he still works not to kill the cultists something in him just doesn’t feel right about kill people who could redeem themselves. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The vampires fall under the attacks of swords, knives and stun guns. The flow into the room seemed to have stopped. Only a handful were left along with four cultists. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Iason allows Varnae to grapple him, boosting his strength as much as he can to try and keep up with the elder vampire. He continues to radiate intense heat in close while he grapples, attempting to keep it in close enough to harm the vampire, but not anyone who might be able to take advantage of their situation, leaving Varnae as open as he can. 	Eli touches Conan's mind with his telepathy, allowing the two of them a better understanding of each other's intentions. Eli circles out to Thulsa Doom's left, attempting to flank him. Conan will know that Eli is hoping to draw Doom's first attack, leaving the necromancer open for Conan's advance. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Thulsa Doom retaliates by stabbing the end of his staff at Eli and releasing a blast of energy point blank, shattering his weapon and knocking Eli down. Thulsa towers over Eli and plants his foot on his chest, his staff pointed down at Eli's head and charging up for another blast.

"My followers may be slain, but don't think that you have won. This will only be a slight setback for me. I can always find replacements. You fought well enough, and perhaps with time you might have become a more worthy adversary, stranger, but now it ends for you."

Svalin saw the blast and saw Eli go down and she knew what was coming next. She gave a yell and hurled her sword at Thulsa Doom aiming for the arm holding the staff. The enchanted Asgardian sword went end over end and sliced clean through Thulsa Doom's arm.

Distracted by saving Eli, Svalin was unable to prevent three vampires from jumping on her. She yelled as teeth broke skin.

	But Conan has come up behind Thulsa. He swings his sword aiming to take his enemy's head if he can. If he can't he will still be gravely injured by the way the sword is angled. Conan is till aiming for a victory of some kind. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	With most of the vampires around him down Ryan throw his knife at the necks of one of the vampires attacking Svalin. He then starts using what stakes he has left to deal with what vampires are left near him. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The blast stuns Eli in a way nothing ever has. He goes down, unable to focus for the brief moment he needs to teleport himself away from Thulsa Doom. He can, however, focus long enough to shove Doom backward. It might not knock him away completely, but it could unbalance him enough to keep him from dodging Conan's incoming attack. Thulsa Doom roars in pain as his arm and the staff fall to the ground, blood spraying from his wound. He feels himself being pushed away from Eli, and then another horrible pain as Conan's sword slices across his face. Thulsa Doom staggers and drops to his knee, his one hand resting against his severed arm, the staff still in its grip.

"You...will pay for this." Thulsa says through clenched teeth, seething with rage and pain.

Vernique very worried about Svalin and Eli, but there's not much she can add to the effort of the little crowd.

So as she shrinks down a bit more, to be a little stronger, a little faster, a little more able to take things, she scoops up one of Ryan's stakes with a quick "Thanks" and carries it over her shoulder, flying at top speed and with full force, right into the upper part of Varnae's unprotected back, ready to drive it in as hard and as far as she could.... regardless of how absolutely filthy she became from this.

Iason can't hold Varnae off forever. For as powerful as he is, even in this young age, Varnae is stronger. But he can control almost everything in his form, in one way or another. He allows Varnae the chance to taste his blood - which is mostly raw energy, and currently burns like fire. The moment after the fangs break the surface of his skin, he unleases a pulse of light right before Varnae's eyes.

The effort, and the loss of blood, whatever it form, and having already been expending significant effort leaves him dizzied, but he hopes it will leave someone a clear opening.

	One of the vampires on Svalin dropped off due to Ryan's knife. Svalin grabbed one of the remaining two and hurled him across the room and into the wall. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
