Homecoming (open to Avengers)
Charlie was glad to be home. In the end of it, he enjoyed his time hoping around through the timestream, and had gotten to become really good friends with his teammates.

But goddamn, it felt good to be back.

After stopping off at his parent's apartment for a quick change of clothes and a shower (his Mom wasn't home yet, but his Dad said that he'd tell her that they had come back later), Charlie made his way over to Avengers Mansion.

"Anybody home?"

"Thanks so much!" Vernique smiles at the girl with the fabulous hair. "They're Rochas. I got them on sale." She catches the phone from James. "'Scuse me a sec." She dials. "Hello, may I speak to Paladin please? Well, as soon as he gets back, tell him his daughter called from Avengers Mansion and that she's all right. Yes, thank you." She frowns slightly as she hangs up, and dials again.

Eight months ago, Luna's attention to him would have had him shocked into silence. Now, though, Eli simply accepts the friendly gesture and shakes her hand.

The sunglasses she wears intrigue him and he wonders if her eyes have issues adjusting to the light. He has better sense than to ask that of someone he barely knows, though. Perhaps if he sees Luna again after today, he will do just that.

"I did not realize that there were so many Avengers, though I should have." he chuckles.

He hopes Svalin will be back eventually, for he would miss her if she stayed away for good.

Now, he had to figure out what to do with the rest of his life from today forward.
