In the Deep of the Night
Night had settled over the city of Los Angeles. A waning gibbous mood had risen and the light of the stars was blocked out by the thick smog that usually blanketed the city. The hours moved on and the city slowed down. Citizens were asleep in their beds and off to dreamland.

The same held true for the residents at 1800 Palos Verdes Drive.

They wouldn't stay asleep for long. Something stirred in the darkness outside.

	Eiltin was fast a sleep in his bed with Ruarc asleep up there with him. Something in the air awakened Ruarc. He a guard dog through and through and he knew when something was up especially when it might threaten Eiltin. He got up growling slowly waking up Eiltin. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Titan was sure why his eye opened at first, but he rolled over to make sure Marlow was still okay before it closed again, draping an arm over her.

Then, he snored loud enough to wake himself up, and so he rose and yawned, looking around the room blearily.

Something didn't feel right and now he couldn't get back to sleep. Maybe he'd do a lap around the grounds just to work off the energy.

He rises from bed and opens the door to the bungalow.

	Marlow roused when Titan's bulk shifted the bed as he got up. With the loss of his warmth, she decided to go downstairs to make some hot chocolate and look outside. It was a few minutes before she wondered she felt uneasy. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	There was a creak of leather and a glint of moonlight off of metal. Svalin's sharp Asgardian senses caught them and she knew there was something out there. She turned and went inside. "We art under attack!" she yelled to rouse Vernique and Sigurdur. She hit the panel near the door to sound the alarm throughout the complex. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"Thou mayhap want to dress quickly," Svalin said when she saw her wife. "Nightclothes art not for fighting." Svalin was heading for her own room to change. Even though she was not going to be fighting, she didn't want to move about in her nightclothes. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Truly? What cowardly fiends attack under the cover of darkness," Aridis snarled as she tore herself out of bed. It only took her a moment to pull on part of her armor, as she had not the time to don much else.

Searching in the dim starlight that came through her window she grabbed her bow and quiver, followed by her thin blade. She did not think she would be able to see to fight with her bow in the dark like this.

	Eiltin quickly got up to Ruarc's growling before the alarms started going off. He grabbed his Avalon weaved shorts and his spear before taking off to find out what was going on. Ruarc was way ahead of him though. Once he saw that Eiltin was up he charged through the wall to find out what exactly was going on. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Griffen had been sitting up reading in Dawn's room. He had given her a foot and back rub earlier that night and wasn't inclined to go back to is own room. 	"Mrpph?" Dawn's initial response was unintelligible, though the name was trickling through somewhere in her brain to react to later. She stirred. 	The sound of the alarms going off catches Titan's attention and he grins broadly. "Wake up in the middle of the night and a fight starts? Today's gonna be a real good day." he says. 	Once dressed, Marlow sent herself outside to at the front of the main house while two illusions walked the grounds. She called up a protection bubble while she readied a blasting spell. She'd finally gotten to the point where she didn't have to conjure something that already existed, but the spell usually defaulted that way unless she was careful. This time, it didn't matter.
