Knowhere Station
After the Avengers got the Kree into containment they headed into space to find out what was going on. Kal brought them to Titan and from there to Knowehere. They arrived suddenly out of the blue in the middle of the station. The alarms went off at the sudden appearance of strangers in the station.

"Red, Azura, you both know the rules. No killing guests unless they try to skip out on a dinner check." Alex manages a weak attempt at humor, before nodding to Mac.

"Real bad. I already had to call in a kill order for a populated Kree world. Barely got the info needed in time to be able to change it to a medical purge. These things... it's not like the 'zombies' Terran movie culture loves. Nothing inherently biological or pathogenic." Alex runs a hand through his hair.

"Necrotized flesh and bone as structural elements for black hole clusters in humanoid shape."

Iason makes his way into the room, the alarms enough to awaken him and draw his attention back to the station from where he was drifting outside in a meditative sleep.

"They've already been killed once. I reviewed some Kree history before trying to sleep, to see what the awareness would tell me. Their equipment, their leaders... already died. But they're animated by some kind of negative energy. They draw more of it from... something involved in the energies of death.

I don't know what or who brought this about... but we can't kill them with conventional weapons any more than you could kill an Eternal with them - for similar reasons. We need to determine their power source, and shut them down."

	Buck had expected some alarms and chaos when they teleported into the heavily secured station, so he took that in stride, and has been watching and listening so far. "There'll be plenty of ass for everyone." Alex replies flatly, pulling out a datapad. "Iason, Miss--" he nods to Kal, "--please don't take offense to the amount of weaponry capable of dealing with Eternals I've already prepared access to.

I'll make sure you all have access to all the information we've collected so far. I'll direct the field team personally."

He looks to Mac. "What are we working with here, besides you and the lady?" He regards the rest of the Avengers.

"Yeah, we have a potent top end, pure powers-wise, but about half of the roster relies more on tactics and trained skill. Between that, and limited space capabilities - plus the Avengers not currently having a lot of experience in dealing with the current empires, I'm going to recommend we mix up Avengers and Guardians a little to put together the best squads available to the tasks at hand."

"The right weapons and equipment will help bridge the gap for experience with space." Alex comments, sizing up what he has to work with. His eyes shut, his lips moving a bit as he half-murmurs to himself, close to thinking out loud.

"Okay." His eyes snap open. "As stated, I'll take the field team." He points in turn to Kal, Mac, Azura, and Phil. "The rest of you are going to coordinate efforts with Knowhere's resources to try to work out logistics. Iason and Red will be your heavy hitters if anything winds up here, and in a different kind of emergency, Iason will be best equipped to get to us on his own." He gives Red a pointed look. "Listen to the nice Terran, and behave yourself, or I'm having you treated for fleas and shaved." Alex gives Buck a sympathetic look.

	Buck nods. "Take Iason with you. He's somewhat familiar with this energy signature, so hopefully he can help track it. We'll keep Kal so we can coordinate via the Eternals if we have to.
