A difficult conversation:
It's been a couple days since the assault on SHIELD. Nightingale hasn't been seen by the Avengers since then.

But eventually, things need to be sorted out. So against his own better judgment, Qamar uses Nightingale's Avengers pass to get into the Hydrobase, then finds himself approaching Sammy's room. He takes several seconds to calm his heart, then knocks on the door.

Once everyone's arrived, Nightingale stands.

"I have kept my distance from the team. I have always sought to help the Avengers, and was honored to be made a member, but I have always attempted to keep my secrets my own -- not out of distrust for you, but out of fear of our enemies, and exactly what they are capable of."

She steps away from her seat.

"But my secrets have harmed someone here. For that reason, I must do something I have never done before: I must share with the rest of you who I am and why I do this."

She nods to Daniel, but says nothing in response to him.

"The enemies I battled in Egypt and the Middle East are a different breed than most of the criminals here. They will destroy an entire city block to get at one person they dislike, and not care about the innocent people caught in the crossfire. I had to make certain my identity was iron-clad... which is why I have been so private, even with my allies on this team. I needed to be sure that no one would ever guess my identity. But, as I said, keeping this secret has injured a member of this team, and I never intended that. And for that reason... I wish to unmask for my team. To show you that I trust you more than I distrust our enemies."

"I'm not positive if I should get a vote on this matter, as I don't entirely understand the problem. You didn't violate any bylaws, you've consistently operated in the best interests of the Avengers, and you've found an effective means of dealing with your enemies. If deception on such a limited scale were an effective weapon against the Celestial agents, deviants or Apocalypse, I'm sure my people would be tempted to follow similar paths. As such, the only difference between you yesterday and you today is I no longer have the slight curiosity as to why your scent was so unusual... due to your mystical reincarnation."

	James was a little shocked, but he understood Qamar's reasons. "I'm fine with him staying an Avenger. We all do what we have to do protect those we care about.
