Weakening of barriers
The barrier between dimensions was usually strong, but there were times when that barrier could be weakened. Either by time or by direct intervention. The barriers to the dimension where the Great Beasts of the North had been banished were weakened.

The first of the Great Beasts to escape the dimensional prison was Tundra.

In central Canada Tundra started ripping up the Earth and destroying everything in its path.

	The Flier raced across the country to the site of the disturbance. Tundra had made his way to a small town and was in the process of destroying it by ripping up the Earth under it. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	"No time to scout with that town in the way. Mel, you and my brother are on evac and life-saving duty. Everyone else, we need to get that thing out of the populated area first priority." 	Tundra was made of ice, snow and earth. Alex had read the files and knew the entity could increase his mass, but Alex could do a bit to prevent some of that. He swooped in and breathed as much fire as he could. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Being careful not to touch anything that Mel is part of, Mason starts putting up signposts and making whatever useful equipment he can. Simple wheelchairs, crutches, stretchers, anything within reason that people ask for. He's going through a backpack full of energy bars in the process, but he seems to be managing. 	If Tundra had been paying attention, he likely would have handled the attacks better, however when Jordan and Nim struck, the giant wobbled a moment from the blow. He couldn't immediately heal due to Alex's efforts, and this annoyed him. Well, they did it now, they got his attention. He turned and went for a massive backhand to all those within reach.
