Sarah and Dani vs Ms. Marvel and Screaming Mimi
The test match was over and Sarah and Dani were scheduled for their next fight. Tonight they were going to face Ms. Marvel and Screaming Mimi. Winning that match was necessary to get a shot at Grimm and Parker.

They had a few hours of downtime which had been spent in posh dressing rooms.

Then it was time for the match.

Natasha led them out to the ring amidst boos and jeers. Natasha yelled at the crowd in Russian as they walked to the ring.

This still just feels bizarre. First of all, she's not entirely this far from her hammer and shield. Really, though, its the over-the-top Russian theme that feels most off... Captain America's daughter... yeah.

Still, Natasha taunting the crowd reminds her of her schtick and duties. A shot against Grimm and Parker is no certainty - they need to earn their dues, and impress in this fight. This would put them at the top of the women's roster.

She joins in, taunting the crowd in Russian - she's not very good at taunting, but for those who don't speak the language, it sounds bad. Otherwise, she just walks down to the ring, gesturing with her fake prop hammer - Dani has the sickle.

"All right, well, best I can figure from the material available--" which admittedly looked pretty weird cobbled together and set up on a hotel table, but so it went "--This vial here is full perfectly normal superhuman-enhancement treatments that would generally be considered pretty safe -- except that some serious psychotropic chemicals have been added to it."
Another deep breath. "Whereas this...I wouldn' want to even think about where this came from. Among other things, it's got Mutant Growth Hormone in it."

Dane had been silent while Kevin was explaining, but chose now to spoke up.

"One of the Power Tools, Vice, said that the guys who can afford it and want to stay on top pay someone named Malus to set them up with the treatments. The guys on the mid and bottom card don't get it, but it's pretty safe to assume that the top-tier guys get it.

And I think a few of them have side jobs that have nothing to do with wrestling. They're looking into offering me one, if I keep doing well." Dane says.

	It had taken some time, every trick in the book and every ounce of persuasion that Natasha could muster to convince Garner to allow Dani and Sarah a chance at Mr. Fixit and Venom. It was crucial to beat them for a shot at Grimm and Spider-Man. Natasha was just glad it wasn't her having to do the fighting. She was a more behind the scenes type of gal. (Reply to this)

"Alright, just be careful. I've fought Venom once. Only once, don't know him near as well as the Hulk - but he's a tough bastard. Almost as strong as you are, or the one I fought was, though I think you have an edge. He's almost as fat as Spider-Man though, and tricky. We're going to have to manage this one just right - going to be a lot tougher than the last fight."

	Dane has his sword hidden inside his coat and his chainmail on beneath his regular clothing. He feels naked, but he won't worry about it unless he's dead. In this world, Uncle Ben had never died. Peter Parker had turned pro wrestling into a lucrative career, helping launch the UCWF - which quickly fell into corruption after its own huge success.
With no Spider-Man, Johnny Storm tried to take on what was some of their early team ups alone... and died soon after the F4 was formed. The flagship team broke up, and a despondent Ben Grimm went to the UCWF. Both let themseles be blinded to the corruption, so long as their little team was successful and they got to live the good life.

The real proof of what's been right in front of them comes not so much from illegal drugs and criminal activities, but Armadillo himself. Freed from Malus' control, and with Kev's help finish the cure for Armadillo's wife - suffering from a rare and painful disease, that the doctor had been drawing out to keep his bodyguard subservient, he willingly testfies about the experiments, the things that happen to those who don't meet payments, and the horrific experiments run by Malus and the Power Broker.

The Exiles will never get to see any of it - but with the defeat of Venom and the Hulk, the retirement of their champions, and the two Russian girls disappearing, the UCWF cleans up its act, but becomes a lot smaller. Meanwhile, Ben recommits himself to the life of a hero, having seen what he allowed to go on right under his nose - and the Fantastic Four reforms, with Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man, as the fourth member in place of Johnny Storm.

The Exiles, however, as usual, don't get to see the results of their work. As soon as the final bell rings, they're already jumping to the next world.
