[info]texasranger:

Characters: Hunter & Mack.
Setting: Mackenzie's Room [202], Tuesday evening.
Rating: SFW.
Content: Hunter has some big news that she isn't sure how to deal with. Therefore it is time to seek out her BFF, even if she's busy avoiding her feelings for gingers doing other stuff.

Though she had kept herself mostly under control in front of Michi, playing the role of the stoic one as best she could, once she had gone back to her room to try and relax again, it just wasn't happening. She had ended up pacing the room slightly, her mind full of worries and what-ifs and everything in between, her hands coming up and pulling at her hair in frustration every once in a while. It would be easy to blame Pascual, to go and beat his head in, but she didn't even want to.

She didn't know what she wanted. Only two things were clear, the fact that her life was about to change entirely and the fact that she wasn't really sure if she was ready.

It frightened the blonde more than she wanted to admit. Everything, from what could come to what had already happened. Had they hurt the baby? They had drank like tanks, just the same as ever, and Michi had been so sick.. it turned Hunter's stomach painfully to think about it. Hell, it almost made her want to cry. What was up with her? Feeling shaky and full of even more frustration by the second, the tall blonde did the only thing that she could think to do.

Moving over to her closet, she hauled the door open and began to root around inside for a few moments before pulling out the familiar sleeping bag and pillow from somewhere on the bottom. Neither of them had used it in a few weeks, but it was probably time. Heading out of her own room, Hunter sulked the whole extra ten feet or so to make it to Mack's door. She wasn't surprised to find it unlocked, and let herself inside. Going straight over to the bed, she pulled back the covers and set down the sleeping bag, crawling inside and curling up, her head even ducked down inside.

She wasn't sure how long she was there like that, hiding under the covers of the sleeping bag and feeling all of about twelve years old. She was essentially just a kid, and kids weren't supposed to have kids. It was better in Mack's room, even if she didn't know when the other blonde would be back, but the room didn't stop her mind from moving a mile a minute. Her thoughts kept racing, and just as she was asking herself what kind of parent someone like her could ever be, she heard a semi-familiar sound just outside of the dormitory door.

There was a faint giggling, and then a lower voice mumbling something. Definitely Mack, though Hunter had no idea who the giggler was. Probably just some girl, and peeking just a tiny bit out of the sleeping bag as the two girls entered the room, Hunter wasn't shocked to see that she was a red-haired girl. No shock there, even if Mack would argue until she was blue in the face that it was merely a coincidence. She knew her best friend better than that, just like Mack knew her better than anyone. She hoped that would help the other girl to aid her in fumbling through this situation.

Mack and her 'date' hadn't even noticed her, and without moving, just a six foot tall lump under Mackenzie's blankets, Hunter spoke in a rather deadpan voice from inside of their sleeping bag. "Send the bitch home. My life is over."

It'd been several days since the apple orchard incident and Mack's mood hadn't improved one bit. She had gone to Hunter soon after she had gotten back, bursting through the taller girl's door and ranting angrily at her. That had been how she had spent the last couple of days, go to class, come back to her room and sulk, and then drop in on the taller girl to unload more of her anger. She could tell that Hunter was starting to tire of her constant rage towards stupid kids from Maine, but every time she thought about the whole situation she got angry all over again. It wasn't just the fact that Tatum was tugging her around either, it was the startling realization that she might actually feel something for the redhead. It scared the hell out of her, that once in her life she actually cared enough about something to be capable of losing it.

She had finally gotten tired of sulking around her dorm and decided to go find someone to distract her. She hoped that maybe she could knock herself out of this funk that the redhead had gotten her in. She was Mack Daddy for god sake, she shouldn't be hung up over some first year. So she set out to find herself a warm body for the evening, it didn't take long of course. She tried to ignore the fact that the girl was a redhead, that every time she glanced out of the corner of her eye she saw Tatum. It was unnerving to the blonde, and she had been close to calling the whole thing off, but she decided to continue with her endeavor. This was normalcy for her, and maybe if she continued on like nothing had ever happened with Tatum, things would continue on the way they were meant to be.

She brought the girl back to her dorm room, said all the right things to get her to blush and giggle. She pressed her up against the door and kissed her, just like she always did. It was like every other time she had brought someone home, and Mack couldn't help but compare it to the apple orchard incident. There was no pleasure for her in this anymore, everything had changed, whether she liked it or not. She only wanted to kiss one girl, only wanted to bring that girl home and that girl wanted nothing to do with her.

Mackenzie opened the door to her room, leading the girl in, although for the life of her she didn't know why she continued to pretend like everything was as it always was. She was about to press the girl against the other side of the door when Hunter spoke out.

"Fuck!" She gasped, spinning around quickly to see the giant lump of blankets that she assumed was the taller girl. She was about to yell at the other girl to get the fuck out of her room when the weight of what Hunter had said sunk in. She actually sounded upset, and there was no crude joke to follow. Turning to the redhead who's name she had already forgotten, she rubbed the back of her head sheepishly and told her it would have to wait till another time. She shooed the girl out of her room, promising to call her even though she knew she wouldn't. She was actually kind of relieved for once at Hunter's cock blocking skills, and joined the taller girl on the bed, shoving her over so she could share the blanket. She noticed that Hunter had buried herself in the sleeping bag and knew something bad must have happened.

"Why the fuck is your life over?" She asked, glancing sideways at Hunter. She hoped that her and Michi hadn't broken up, but she hadn't heard of any problems that could have merited that. "It better be fuckin' important if you're cock blocking." To anyone else it might have sounded rude, but that was jut how their relationship worked. Mackenzie couldn't express her concern though sappy gestures and words, and she knew that Hunter knew that.

Grunting a bit as Mack shoved her over on the bed and got comfortable beside her, the blonde just burrowed herself further into the sleeping bag. "Ya wouldn't believe me if I told ya," the taller girl muttered sullenly, without lifting her head out to speak. She sounded muffled, but the surprising seriousness of her tone still hung on. "Don't go an' git mad at me jus' cos I made your li'l Tater lookalike take a hike.. ya didn't want the bitch anyway," she added knowingly in a mutter.

She supposed she couldn't beat around the bush forever, it was why she had come over here. So much as it killed her to admit it, if she had wanted to sulk, she'd be better off in her own bed. There was no tree house in Georgia, and Mack's room would just have to do. God, it killed her, but she had come there to talk. There was no one else she could talk to about something so serious, except Kia and over the phone just wasn't the same. Mack was the best port in a storm.

"Michi's knocked up," she said, out loud for the first time. The blonde almost grimaced as the words set in. She had wanted to be strong for her girlfriend, had tried to be as encouraging as her emotional paralysis would allow, but she had a feeling she hadn't done a good enough job. She was glad Michi couldn't see her then, doubting them and having second thoughts, worrying about every little thing. She would stand by the other girl's side until the end, but what good would she be to her? She was no good with kids, and her own family was far too fucked up to produce anyone sane enough to have offspring. "Dunno if it's mine yet," she joked dryly, sighing heavily into the plaid fabric of the sleeping bag.

"Try me," she said, turning to look at the other blonde with a look of concern. Normally she would have ragged the older girl, but the fact that Hunter was practically suffocating herself in the sleeping bag was worrying the shorter girl. The sleeping bag only came out in times of need, times when they needed the comfort of their tree house but couldn't go back to it. They had always brought the old plaid lined bag to school with them, and it had been a method of comfort for them for as long as Mack could remember. It was the serious tone that the girl was still using that caused the blonde to remain speechless however, even when Hunter commented on the fact that the girl Mack had brought home was just a sad excuse for a Tatum look-a-like.

A tense silence had settle between them, and while Mackenzie was waiting for the bomb to drop, she knew that Hunter would tell her eventually. She could tell that Hunter was struggling to find the words to tell her what was wrong. Neither one of them had ever been great at expressing their feelings to one another, sometimes it took a little while longer for them to say what they were feeling. So Mackenzie sat next to Hunter, fiddling with a loose string on her blanket until Hunter spoke again.

It took several seconds for Hunter's words to really sink in for the shorter girl, she had to repeat them in her head several times. When she finally realized what Hunter had told her, her eyes widened and her jaw dropped, leaving her gaping for air like a gold fish as she looked at Hunter. Michi was knocked up? It was almost comical, they had both been the biggest play boy's on campus at one time, Mack still held on to the title partially. The fact that they were both girl's though had always caused them to joke about how lucky they were, they would never have to worry about accidentally knocking up a girl. This however, was like some sick joke brought about by karma. Hunter had to be kidding, it had to be a joke the taller girl made up to throw Mack out of her funk. The tone of Hunter's voice left little possibility for that hope to be a reality though.

After a few minutes Mackenzie finally closed her mouth and wordlessly untangled herself from the bed. She walked over to her desk and opened the bottom drawer, rummaging around for a few moments before producing a bottle of vodka. Walking back to Hunter, she uncapped the bottle and took a drink directly from the mouth. Wincing slightly as she felt the alcohol traveling down her throat, she thrust the bottle in Hunter's direction.

"Drink up pops," She said hoarsely, a look of shock still on her face. What the hell were they going to do? They were the two most immature people on campus, and now Hunter supposedly was going to have a kid. She didn't even know if Michi was going to want to keep it, but she had the small hunch that the girl was going to. It would explain why Hunter was here, explain why she sounded so horrified. They were probably the two people least equipped to deal with this kind of thing, they had never had stable home lives, never knew what it was like to have real parents. Kia had been their only role model for parenting, and even that wasn't perfect.

"Fuck Hunt, what are you going to do? I...is Mich gonna keep it? Are you going to stay with her? You can't leave her now man, but...shit." She scrubbed at her face and left Hunter with the vodka bottle to rummage around the room for a cigarette. Finding them in a discarded jacket, she pulled one out and lit it, waving her wand to filter out the smoke. She offered the pack to Hunter, climbing back onto the bed with her and re-situating herself. "I...I'm here for you man, anything you need. I don't know much about kids, but I guess like I could always call Kia and ask her. Do...do you want me to call Kia so she can make sure Mich is okay?"

Hunter wasn't sure the shocked silence was a good or bad thing, she honestly had no idea how Mack would react to the news. She hadn't known how she would react to something like this herself until today. When she had boyfriends, she had always been careful, one of the few things she was ever careful with was a rubber. But this was different. It wasn't her and it wasn't the same, but she had a tugging in the pit of her stomach that told her it really was the same. Her or Michi, it was still sort of her baby in the end. Would be, if that was what Michi decided she wanted.

She'd be damned if she left the younger girl alone, especially now, be damned if Pas was allowed to raise that baby, and that left it up to her. It wasn't even a question in her mind. She had no experience, it was scary, but somehow not the scariest thing. The ideas she was having about how badly she wanted to beat up Pascual were scarier. If she saw him right then, she doubted anyone could pull her off of him. It was lucky he hadn't been around.

Feeling Mackenzie's weight lifting wordlessly from the mattress, the taller blonde finally began to dig her way back to the surface. It was hard to breath in there, and she hadn't cried yet, hoped not to. She didn't really need to hide unless that happened. Peering out of the top of the sleeping bag and blankets and vaguely looking a bit like a big blonde groundhog, Hunter's eyes lit up at the sight of the vodka. Peach, no less. They were on the same level.

Freeing her hands and tking the bottle by the neck, Hunter tipped her head back and unceremoniously took a huge swig. The burn of the alcohol in her throat was familiar, almost comforting. Wiping her mouth on Mack's blanket before taking another drink, the taller blonde shook her head. "Dunno," she sighed simply. "I think she-- yeah, I think she is. She was.. talkin' like that. Said she couldn't, y'know, give up on it.. gotta agree I guess, ain't that baby's fault they're gunna be born."

Taking another swig, she went on. "I keep thinkin' of us, y'know? We didn't ask to be born and our.. our moms still hate us. And she's scared, she don't wanna be like her mom, but she wouldn't be. Michi would be.. fuck, the best damn mom," the blonde went on, lowering her head a bit as she muttered the last bit. She felt it was true, if there was anyone she felt could handle this, it was Michiko. It was just going to be rough getting there.

When Mack asked if she was going to stay with her, the taller girl's head shot up and she looked at her friend with a look of surprise of her own. "Course I'm gunna stay wit' her! What d'you think I am, a total fuckin' loser? She's-- I f-fuckin' love her, man, so fuckin' much," she shot back, swallowing thickly and trying to stay tough even as she voiced such girly lame feelings. She meant it though, and she had a feeling Mack was starting to learn to relate. Playboy or not, there was no way for her childhood friend to miss the way the shorter blonde looked at that redhead when she thought no one was watching.

She took the offered cigarette, using her wand to cast the same quick charm before lighting up, exhaling shakily. With the hand not holding her liquor, she rubbed her own face absently. "Thanks man," she muttered genuinely, glancing at Mack. "I'd love that actually, I-- I dunno if she told anyone else but I mean, s'Kia.. she'll fix it up right? She gotta," Hunter replied, flopping back onto the bed more and still smoking.

"I'm such a fuckin' idiot, she told me and I jus'.. I jus' stared at her like she got three heads, an' she was cryin' and I couldn't move I jus' can't-- the fucks wrong with us? Why can't I jus' man up and hold my fuckin' girlfriend? She probably thinks I don't even want her, but fuck it man, I jus'.. it ain't easy to say. It ain't easy to be like, yeah, I want a fuckin' family. A real one, I dunno how to.. I shoulda talked to her more. I jus' let her go to her damn room, I shoulda chased her an' told her I'm like.. good, y'know? Scared! But good, I'd never.. I wanna be there. I wanna be a fuckin' dad or a mom or whatever!" she rambled in frustration, covering her face after she finished speaking. "Fuck."

So Michi was going to keep the kid, Mack couldn't say she wasn't a bit surprised. She knew that Mich must be terrified right now, that she was probably worried about what her parents would say. The blonde knew that the younger girl's parents could be a little strict and overbearing, and she wondered how Michi was going to tell them. "Mich would make a kick ass mom," Mackenzie agreed, nodding along with her statement. "Hell, she's practically our mom half the time. If she can manage us, then a kid should be a piece of cake."

Mackenzie had been situating herself back in the nest of blankets when Hunter voiced her feelings about Michi, and the blonde's eyes flicked quickly to read the expression on Hunter's face. She had teased the taller girl before about how much she cared for Michi, but this was an actual declaration, untarnished by jokes or sarcasm. It was truly how her friend felt, and Mackenzie deep down could kind of relate. That was emotions for another time though, and the blonde quickly shoved them back, distracting herself by waving her wand at the door to lock it. She didn't want anyone coming in unannounced, this was something that they would keep extremely private between the two of them, just like everything else that required showing their emotions.

"I...wow Hunt," She said after a few more moments, letting out a low whistle. She had let the other girl ramble, knowing that if she stopped her, the other girl would put up her walls again. She felt bad for Hunter, she knew how hard it was for her to express feelings, and she knew how much her best friend loved Michi. It must have killed the taller blonde to not be able to act on her emotions like she wanted to. "You're...uh...a brave kid. I'm glad Michi's got ya to take care of her, even if you're kinda shitty at the emotions stuff. Hey, no one is perfect man, just like, go over there later and bring her flowers or somethin'. Tell her your sorry you suck at being a fag but you still love her and reassure her you ain't gonna leave her. Michi knows how we are, she knows we're bad with the whole emotional thing, especially you. I bet she'll forgive ya, especially if you tell her how moonstruck you are over her." Mack gave the other girl a small smile, nudging her in the arm a bit. Her expression shifted back to a serious one and she looked at Hunter again, taking a drag of her cigarette and blowing the smoke out before speaking again. "You're gonna make a great pops, even if you fuck up sometimes. No one can be worse than our parents."

It was a tender subject for both of them, and Mackenzie looked away quickly. "We got this man, I'll give Kia a call when she's not on duty and get her to come up. You and Mich will figure things out too, she'll need a lot'a help but we'll both be there, you know?" There was no way that either of them could abandon their child the way their mother's had, they both knew how it felt. Even if they weren't the poster children for best future parents, even if they were all way to young to be worrying about bringing a baby into the world, Mack figured they could do better than their parents had. She would stick by her friend no matter what she needed, it was just part of the pact they had made as children. "We stick together," she said quietly, staring intently at a spot on the opposite wall. She could almost see the friendship pact they made hanging on that wall, they had always sat facing it when they went to the tree house. "Just like we promised each other we would."

"That's exactly what I said.. one of the only things I got out," the other blonde muttered, cracking a little smile. They really were alike, and they were also right. If Michiko could handle keeping them in line, there was no baby out there that could stump her. She and Mack were much more unpredictable and mobile.

She was relieved when Mackenzie locked the door, and she even relaxed back more comfortably into the pile of sleeping bag and blankets she was still half tangled inside of. With the vodka still in hand, she took another swig and followed it with a drag from the cigarette. "Gotta get this in, I guess. Dads can't be doin' this shit," she sighed, her eyes going wide even as she said it. She was kind of right. It probably wouldn't be good to go around drunk every night now if Michi was expecting.. they were expecting, that was what a couple would say. It made her gulp.

She listened to what her best friend told her, feeling a bit reassured more and more by the second. By the time the shorter blonde was done talking, Hunter was smiling sort of bashfully, trying to cover it up by looking overly skeptical. "Whatever, fag. I'm jus'.. y'know, it's my boo. I gotta have her," she replied, shrugging and shaking her head a bit. Chewing her lower lip, she sighed. "Gotta have her, ain't nobody else who does.. that fuckin' piece of shit that caused all this and then them parents, if y'all even wanna call them that.. fit right in with our folks," the blonde murmured.

"I'll be a damn good pops, an' I'll be all the damn family she needs. We'll do it right," Hunter stated, trying to sound confident, and even starting to feel it a bit. Maybe it was the alcohol. "You'll be an auntie, man. You and Kia.. for sure, any kid I ever had. Y'all are family. We're jus'.. y'know, expandin' the family. We're good," she agreed. When Mack brought up their promise, she followed her friend's eyes, finding what she was looking at and cracking another weak smile.

"Jus' like we said, man.. brothers for life. We're basically blood related after that, same diff, right?"

Mackenzie smirked, as serious as this whole situation was she couldn't help but enjoy getting to rag on her friend a little bit. "Yeah pops!" she said cheerfully, reaching over and taking the bottle from Hunter. She took a swig from it and grinned at the taller blonde. "Guess you gotta get clean now that you're tied down." The thought of having a kid and all the responsibility that came with it kind of freaked Mackenzie out. Hunter was right, she couldn't be shooting the breeze and drinking with Mack all the time, not when Michi needed help. It was like the end of an era, the kind of change that they had both been scared of when they had come to Blue Ridge.

She kept her eyes fixed on the wall, trying not to let her anxiety and jealousy show. While she didn't want to have to be facing something like a pregnant girlfriend, she couldn't deny that she wasn't jealous. There was a reason that Mack didn't do relationships, it was just too hard to get attached, but deep down she wished that she had someone the way Hunter had Michi.

Taking another drink, she nodded along as Hunter talked, grunting her agreement at certain parts of the taller girls rant. Michi's parents were just about as bad as their own, in a different way but it was still valid. It was probably why the two tall blondes had taken such a liking to her in the first place. She couldn't help but laugh when Hunter told her that her and Kia would be auntie to the child. "I better be fucking god mother to that kiddo too you big sap!" She grinned at the taller girl to mask her earlier weirdness, not wanting to bring up her feelings. "Damn right we're all family, who else we got otherwise?"

Her serious expression returned when Hunter brought up being blood brothers, but a small smile tugged at her lips anyway. It helped calm some of her previous fears about the huge change that was about to happen. "Of course we're related," she said confidently, just like she had all those years ago. "We're brothers for life now, you can't break the blood brothers bond." She bit her lip and sat there worrying it for few moments of silence before looking back to Hunter. She tried not to let her insecurity show on her face, but she was sure that the other girl would be able to read it.

"Y'all won't forget about me, will you?" She asked quietly, hating herself for having to get sappy on the taller girl. It had just kind of slipped out, but there was no taking it back now. "Ya know, now that you got you lady and a kid on the way. You're gonna be busy as hell, no time for little 'ol me any more." She joked to try to lighten the situation.

"I'm gunna hafta be on the ol' straight and narrow.. imagine that. Maybe by the time the kid's like, ten. Gimme some time," Hunter groaned, clutching her hands over her face as Mack removed the bottle from them. There was going to be a lot of responsibility, a lot of things to do, to take care of. They'd be graduated after this year, and then they'd be working real jobs, but real aurors. She would be an adult, technically speaking, with a job and a family. It was definitely going to be a turn around.

Reaching over, as if in honor of her impending loss, the taller blonde took the bottle of vodka back. She drank deeply, tipping her head back and making a little face when she finally pulled the liquor back from her lips. "God mother, whatever ya want, fag. I'll let y'all be whatever ya want, don't worry. Family, man! So don't cry 'bout it," she teased the other girl back, rolling her eyes. She had noticed a bit of the weirdness, the silence that had settled between them as they both stared at the wall.

Tightening her grip on the vodka bottle, she smiled a little as well. "I told y'all to use spit.. now I'm stuck with ya. Maybe that's why I'm into chicks, I got your gay germs," she joked, cracking a wider smile. "Jus' kiddin, man. I like the ladies 'cos they're smokin'.. nothin much else to say 'bout it," she grinned.

Letting the silence settle in, the blonde shifted her hands anxiously on the bottle again, her mind just beginning to over think things all over again. When Mack looked at her, she looked back, immediately seeing something off in the expression she caught there. Raising an eyebrow, the taller girl blinked at her as she spoke. She gave her friend a look as if she thought the other girl was quite out of her mind.

"Forget 'bout ya?" she echoed, straightening up a bit and puffing out her chest. "Shut up wit' that shit, man! I ain't gunna forget 'bout my best friend, you ain't.. y'know, never forgot 'bout me. That ain't go it goes. Brothers, man, straight up fuckin' brothers! I ain't gunna be able to raise no kid without you round anyway."

"How many time's do I gotta tell you that spit doesn't mean anything?" She asked, rolling her eyes. Hunter had been extremely serious about using spit, to which the shorter blonde had said no. For some reason the idea of blood was a lot more appealing than spit, and the shorter girl was pretty sure that it was a lot more binding. Her father had always told her that blood had a strong magic to it, especially wizarding blood. At the time, they had been too young to really understand, but Mackenzie had a sneaking suspicion that they had don't some little bit of magic that day. She hadn't really looked into it that much, but she was almost positive they now shared a bond more permanent than just friendship.

"Yeah yeah," she grinned, sticking out her and wiggling it at the other girl. "You should be thanking me for sharing my gay germs you ass! I saved you from a life of sick body hair and no tits."

Mackenzie instantly regretted voicing her concern, especially when Hunter looked at her like she was out of her mind. Hunter's words made her feel stupider, even if the the taller girl's words did calm her fears about the change in their life. Hunter was the only person besides Kia who had always been there for her, who had never abandoned her, they needed each other even if neither of them would admit it. Mackenzie had never been able to talk about serious things with anyone but her best friend, there was no one else she trusted more. "Fuckin' brothers," she echoed back at the taller girl, smiling at her. "I bet you'd be pretty crap at raising a kid without me. We both know you can't fly for shit, someone's gotta teach the kid how to do it properly!"

She felt better already now that she had confirmed that the pact still stood strong between them. It wasn't going to be easy once Michi had the kid, but Mack would do whatever she could to help both of her friends. She pulled out another cigarette and lit it, puffing out the smoke thoughtfully and relaxing against the wall. "I feel like I should have gotten you a cigar or something," she joked, grinning stupidly at Hunter. She quickly stole the bottle of vodka and took a few drinks before returning it to her friends hand. "Guess we better do all of our guy stuff now before you gotta become a family man! Who would have thought you'd be the first to settle down, eh?"

"Don't tell me spit don't mean nothin' to nobody!" Hunter protested automatically, igniting the old argument. Bickering about that fact came as easily to them as bickering about Quodpot versus Quidditch. They would just never agree. "It still counts!" she added, a bit grumpily. She snorted at Mack's comment, sticking her tongue out right back. "Whatever, fag! I guess if I got y'all to thank for lettin' me notice how smokin' hot my girl is.. then yeah, I kinda owe ya," she joked back.

When Mack accused her of not being able to fly, she reached out and grabbed the nearest pillow, whacking the shorter blonde hard with it. "Shaddup! Like I'd ever let an amateur like you teach any of my kids to fly.. I want 'em to know what they're doin', not look like some Quidditch playin' goofball," she informed her friend, rolling her eyes.

It was easier to banter like this, to rip on each other and laugh a little. It lifted some of the tension, helped her to forget that her life would be changing entirely soon. "Cigar woulda been nice. Maybe next time," she mused, chuckling a bit and giving the other girl's shoulder a shove as she smoked absently. She took the bottle back, slurping some down as well.

"Gunna be like my last hurrah, the never endin' every day bachelor party 'til she pops!"

"Spit don't mean nothin'!" Mackenzie shot back, grinning and sticking her tongue out at the taller girl. It felt good to know that Hunter would be there, that even if the world was changing around them, things like this never changed. "Blood is thicker in magic, therefore the bond is stronger!" She made sure to say it in her best Sera impression when the younger girl was proving a point to the two blonde's. She knew Hunter would pick up on it immediately, they had spent many afternoons pretending to be stupid to get under the younger girl's skin while she tutored them. "Damn right you owe me," Mackenzie grumbled, settling back in.

She wasn't expecting the taller girl to grab a pillow and bring it down on her head, hard. "You're so fucking dead!" She roared, grabbing another pillow and swinging it into the other girl's face. "If you wanna cripple your kids forever with your poor broom skills than be my guest! Jesus Christ, you look like a cow on a broomstick!"

She sank back down with her pillow clutched against her body, sulking slightly. "Yeah well, had I was given more notice I would have had cigars and Patron for you. As it was though, I had intended to spend the evening other ways so, you'll have to wait."

Mackenzie charmed away the butt of her cigarette, and proceeded to light another one immediately after. Puffing out a new plume of smoke, she tilted her head in thought for a few moments. "I'll throw you a damn good bachelor party, one last hurrah to your man hood before you become a pops!" She said, grinning at the idea of another party so soon in the year. "Maybe we can even convince Ser to organize a baby shower or somethin'. I bet her and Kia would have kittens over getting to do some girly shit like that."

"Yeah it does but whatever you fuckin' say, professor!" she shot back absently, grinning a bit at the spot on impression, right before she was smacked back in the face. Flopping backwards as the pillow hit her, the taller blonde groaned. "Y'all couldn't teach a bird to fly, man.. let alone li'l kids. I'd do way better," she boasted. "Kids would love me, right? I seem like somebody a kid would like?"

It had been something that, despite her better judgment, she had been dwelling on. What if she was no good at it? What if the baby didn't like her? Worse, how old would it be before it started to resent her? She was getting ahead of herself, surely, but it was hard to worry about the situation at all without every little worry snowballing on her.

"Babies love me, I got that goofy face," she murmured, more to reassure herself than to tell Mack. "Anyway, you couldn't fly up the broad side of a barn so there. I ain't gunna cripple no kids! Maybe blow 'em up a bit, but that's Quodpot for ya!"

Perking up at the mention of a bachelor party, the blonde sipped her drink and raised an eyebrow. "Bachelor parties are for when ya get married, we ain't.. well, y'know maybe, but not right now. It's gotta be a daddy shower, I guess. Y'all can buy me power tools and ties I ain't never gunna wear," she joked. When Mack mentioned a baby shower, it was like her best friend was reading her mind, as usual.

"Damn, get outta my head, bitch! I was thinkin' that'd be real nice to do.. plus free stuff and cash, right? But I dunno nothin' bout that shit. Li'l sister and Kia got this in the bag though. They just dunno it yet! They'll make 'er all pretty and fancy and shit.. we'll jus' put up the high up decorations for 'em and drink beer. Fair, right?"

"Of course kid's 'll like you," Mackenzie said seriously, putting down her pillow and looking at Hunter. As much as they liked to joke about who was the better flyer, it really wasn't about that. Mackenzie knew that Hunter would be a better teacher than she would, she just had that personality. The shorter girl might have been social when it came to seducing girls, but otherwise her social skills were abysmal. All of the friends she had were because of Hunter, she had met them all through the other girl. With the exception of Tatum, because Sera had introduced them, but she wasn't even sure that she could call them friends. "Hell Hunt, who doesn't like you in the end? You got that somethin', and I mean that in a no homo way."

Snorting at Hunter's description of a daddy shower, Mack rolled her eyes at the taller girl. "I ain't buying you any power tools dick, you'll take your goddamn hand off this time." She thought for a moment, before speaking again. "We'll get some fake ID's and go out or somethin, or just throw another rager in the forest. You have to out with a bang Hunt, it's only right."

The shorter girl just smirked at Hunter, "I don't wanna be your mind slut! Trust me, it's a scary fucking place in there. All kinds of sappy mush about Michiko and quodpot nonsense."

Mackenzie pulled out her phone to text Kia quickly before looking back up to Hunter. "Of course! It's the way it'll probably be twenty years from now when we both got families and stuff. We'd always be more of the dads, not like there are many women taller than we are anyway."

Hunter laughed loudly, nodding her head and already feeling a little bit better upon hearing that. "I guess so, I am pretty hot shit.. I get along with people, I can get along wit' a baby. Everythin'll be real gravy, right? I'll do-- y'know, fun stuff with 'em. Teach 'em how to raise hell and give everybody a tough time," she half joked. She was sure Michi would kill her if she taught the little guy or girl too much mischief, but there was no way she wouldn't pass on all of her hell-raising tips and trips to her kids.

"Out with a bang, yeah. We'll do somethin' real fucking cool and jus' make it real awesome. Somethin' people are gunna remember! Before I go an' fade from everybody's memory when I become a full-time pops," she laughed back, nudging the shorter blonde roughly with her elbow. When her friend insulted her mind, she smirked further and gave her another rough elbow. "Hey! Ain't nothing wrong with what I got goin' on up in my brain.. don't act like you ain't sappy on the inside. I know all 'bout ya, Mackenzie Dubinsky. Better'n ya know yerself, got it?"

It was sort of true, and it worked both ways. It was why there was no one else she could have told this to first. If Mack approved, if Mack understood her reluctant feelings and could help her through, if Mack believed she could do it, than Hunter believed her. They had been through everything together over the years, and if they didn't support each other, there really wasn't anyone else. She had Michi now, of course, but Mack was like family. The closest thing that she had to a sister, other than Kia. The three of them were family, she almost wanted them to call her together.

"Couple of dads, that'll be us. Beer guts an' all, retired with some real badass wounds and junk. Our ladies are gunna be fallin' all over us and our kids.. well, y'know, they'll respect us an' shit. Cos we're so badass."
