The Big Finale
The city of Star City looked deserted. The citizens had either fled or had been turned into black lanterns. At the heart of the city was the entity known as Nekron. Nekron used the city as his base as his black lanterns ravaged the Earth.

The black lanterns increased their numbers each day and the power levels of the black lantern battery increased with each person that died.

Soon Nekron would have enough power to obliterate all life on this planet.

GK retreated a little as the gauntlet came up but did his best to stay in front of the zombie, sword and stick out.

If he starts to rot, or turn into a zombie, and no one else handles it, Zoe will put an even number of red bullets through his skull.
He knows he can count on her for that.

"No," Dinadan answers. The sword construct leaps up from the pavement and splits in two to knock both the sword and the stick off to the side while Dinadan himself lunges for his opponent's now-unprotected chest.

"But you do look scared."

"No heart for you, zombie bastard!"

Dins reach for the chest of GK is halted by a fishing crane arm and pulls him up and away.

Michael then gets a good look at this black lantern.

"Hey...wait a minute. I know you. You're the Palmer kid, the one who works with Uncle Ryan."

"Small world, isn't it?" Dinadan answers almost playfully. "Speaking of your uncle, have you checked in on him since the dead started rising? The rest of your family?"

The two halves of the sword construct meld into a spear which arrows itself through the air toward the living deputy lantern.

A block of ice falls in front of the arrow, followed by another one plummeting towards Din.

"Hey again, sweetie..." Petra glowers as she falls to the ground in a crouch, the remains of her ice-slide crumbling above her.

They lied. The Black Lanterns lied through their teeth to try and get a reaction. So don't give one. Don't give one.

The block of ice dropping out of nowhere? A little bit of a surprise. But appreciated.

Dinadan ducks away from the falling ice, diverting it into the side of a building with another construct. The sword buried in Petra's ice vanishes.

"Petra! I missed you too, darling." A Katarthan bow forms in his hands, arrow already knocked. "But my aim is getting better."

He might not be as good at archery as he is with a sword, but with arrows that will maneuver around obstacles, he doesn't really have to be. He fires primarily at Petra and Michael, ignoring GK for the moment.
