The Darkheart

(Timebendyed so anyone can be involved)

Jerry had heard that there was suppose to be an amazing meteor shower tonight and the best place to see it was in the Arches National Park in Utah. He had let dad knew he was going to spend the night there which his dad was totally fine with.

After teleporting in with some basic supplies he started looking for a good place to watch it from. Teleporting around the park he saw a mesa that looked like he could get a great view from. He snapped his fingers and appeared in a flash of green at the top of the mesa.

What he saw up there was something that he Jerry Carr had trouble believing. There was a organic looking machine with little robotic drones eating the rocks. And one charged right at him.

Quickly snapping both hands he teleported away and teleported a boulder right on top of the drone crushing it. Jerry let out a sigh of relief until he noticed that the drones were now eating the boulder and forming even more drones.

This was bad and Jerry knew he could not handle this by himself and felt that it would be smart to call in as much help as he could.

Teleporting back to his stuff away from the mesa he grabbed his cell phone and started calling all of the people he knew who were superheroes to get as much help as he could.

	Ty watches, seeing the machine just pump out more and more, even as the heroes struggle. Finally, he reaches for Dinah's mind amidst the chaos. Do we know what they are? Coming out of a machine, are the bugs mechanical? (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Cait took a deep breath and sent the water toward one of the bugs and encased it in ice. She made it as cold as she possibly could and waited to see what happened. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Dinah was using the Bug as a command post, offering advice and directions to the other heroes, while using its sensors to figure out what was going on. They read mechanical, I think. But they're definitely not like anything I've ever seen before. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Jayhawk may not be making progress, but he seems to be enjoying letting loose and just smashing the problem without restraint. He dives into the area where Cait grabbed a bug to cover them, swinging away at the others that were around it. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Can you grab Mikey Dugan? Not a name I know, and its easier if you're together... if you can get everyone who should be on the analysis team together on the bug, I'll bring the whole thing here. Someone else will have to take the lead though. I'm not totally hopeless, but robotics isn't in my primary fields. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	The sphere of water with the bug inside floated up toward their position. Cait had a hard time trying to keep the bug inside. It wanted to get out and was trying to break through the hardened water around it. She got it as close as she could to The Bug where Dinah was. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Dinah brought the Bug closer too, opening the bottom hatch so Cait could get it inside. She got up from the pilot's seat, setting the Bug on hover, settling on specialized plastic sample container, which she slipped around the water sphere. It was hopefully complex enough a material to give her some time.

"Okay Aquagirl," she said, over the comm system. "Let it go."

She turned the speaks up. "I need... Mike Dugan and any other tech heads to report the the Bug immediately. ...And Goldstar. Gonna need your force field, partner."

Red Robin hears the the call for tech-heads and makes a quick decision in his head. He aids Robin in dropping a few of the bug creatures, then signals her to fall back.

"Robin, find the Outsiders and aid them however you can. I'm going to see what the Beetle needs, but I'll be back ASAP. Don't take any foolish risks and be here when I get back." he says.

Then he turns and heads for the bug.

Linked to Cait through their mental link, though it takes a lot of concentration at this distance, Ty reaches out and freezes the bug container and its contents in time, slowing it to 1/1,000,000th of its normal speed, the container's surface occasionally lighting with speed force-like lightning, though it doesn't hurt to touch.

He waits til he senses Mikey Dugan among the people on board, and otherwise just focuses on keeping the bug contained and readying his lab for guests while they gather their forces.

	As soon as they're all aboard the bug Ty teleports the group of techies, vehicle and all, to Titans Tower. He telekinetically keeps it steady outside the window to his lab. Ok, bring it in. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
