What Makes a Dad

God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,

Chris just smiles and shakes her head as she sits next to her dad as some other really smart guy goes on about really smart-guy stuff. After this, it's off to an entomology documentary at the movies, and dinner at his favorite place in New York.

Even with the cost involved, Abigail flew out on Father's Day to visit the burial site of Mathew Hawk, aka the Two-Gun Kid. Her father was, from her own perspective, still alive somewhere in the past when she'd been thrown into the future, but here... well.

Rose let Misha have first crack at "Dad." This Logan was so much like her own father it was almost painful sometimes, but the way in which she'd been welcomed into this part of the family came pretty dang close to making up for it.

Vincent oversees a large delivery of non-perishable and canned foods to the Latverian embassy, for delivery to Doomstadt and it's outlying villages. It's just as likely they'll be destroyed. Burned, liquefied, or some other method of disposal; but he doesn't let that stop him.

He wants to be a better person. Even if he doesn't want to be a better person to his father, there are innocent people under his rule that could use it.

Kristoff is busy with his new family wife and son, but there's a gift-wrapped package with a new watch waiting for him when it returns, designed to tell the time on several planets besides Earth.

Doctor Richards receives a new labcoat and a fresh pair of unstable-molecule-treated boots.

Thanks to Irina, Lyta was able to get to her father's apartment to make him breakfast in bed while he was still asleep. She spent the whole day with her Dad, taking him out for lunch, flying over New York City, watching a movie, and even made him dinner. She had made certain to inform Gabriel of her plans, in case he wanted in on them.

Val and Franklin did what they did for their Dad every year. Tickets to a lecture that he would find interesting, and a full four-course dinner cooked by them (with a little help from Mom).

Molly still thought about her father, like she did with her mother on Mother's Day. Even though they were evil and planned to bring about the end of the world, she couldn't help but miss them. Just a little bit, even though she wouldn't tell anyone.

Molly put on a brave face, going about the day as she normally did.

The first Father's Day that she had actually knew about her father, he wasn't there. Stupid greater callings, or whatever you called them. Grace sat in her room, hugging her knees, thinking about the short time that she had gotten to know Simon.
