To tell the truth, it hurt my pride: the 'groom' was prettier than the bride.
She'd never really pictured this happening. Of course, she'd married off her dolls as a girl, but the idea of her wedding had always brought with it the idea of really settling down with one guy, which had never been much on her agenda. This, of course, was different. This was Svalin. And she loved Svalin, and honestly wanted to be there for her and be a family with her. And while there would be sacrifices involved, it wasn't the same as Really Settling Down. A platonic marriage that still came with a fancy party. Nothing wrong with that!

Her parents had been brought up to Asgard, along with the Avengers and the Defenders.

The first royal wedding in a generation was the Event of the Season, with quite a bit of bustle about it.

...And the dress was going to be perfect.

But first, Spa day with Mom and the Mothers-in-law --two of them. Oh gosh.

She hoped Svalin was okay.

	Sydney was there along with Zoey. Somehow she managed to keep her daughter quiet through the ceremony. She was glad to see Svalin and Vernique happy and was glad she could witness this. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Zoey was on her BEST behavior and minded her manners for the wedding. She was still grounded for running off to Asgard with Scotty and the other members of Team Awesome so she was not going to do anything to add to her punishment. Though when the ceremony was over she couldn't keep quiet any longer. "YAY!" she shouted. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Avery is there with Sydney and Zoey, now convinced that watching Zoey like a hawk was the best way to keep her from running off with Scotty Vernard. He cheers when he ceremony ends, glad for Svalin and Vernique, though he doesn't know them well. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Dawn would be the first to admit, at least to her, this wasn't what a marriage was. But... if it worked... it worked. And Svalin was happy, and this Vernique person was happy, and maybe that was enough. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Going to Asgard was a unique experience and Kal was glad she got the chance. The Asgardians were long time allies of her people and she was glad to have been invited to the wedding. It was a lovely ceremony and she wished all the best for Svalin and Vernqiue. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Hjordis was happy for Svalin and Vernique. It was a nice ceremony and there would be celebrating in Asgard for days. She was looking forward to the feast. She just hoped Douglas would get to see her in her new dress at some point. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ryan hadn't gone. He was friendly enough with Svalin and Vernqiue but not enough to go to Asgard. He also had a lot of school commitments to take care of too. Still he sent his best wishes and congratulations along with what he thought was a good wedding present. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Eiltin was stand back with Grace. It would be a lie to say he wasn't a bit on edge being surrounded by this many Asgardians, but he felt very confident that nothing would happen. Svalin turned to the gathered people and smiled. She looked out at the faces. Unfortunately Asgardians had very keen eyesight and a certain face did not go unnoticed. Her hand went to Vifrior but she did not remove the hammer from its place.

This insult to her person would not be forgot and she would have words with her sister later.

"Now it ist time to retire to Lord Odin's hall," she said. She looked at Vernique, smiled and then started running toward her grandfather's hall.

	Svalin beat Vernique to the Great Hall and when Vernique arrived, she swept her off her feet and carried her through the double doors. They took their places at the head table and the wedding feast began. (Reply to this)(Parent)
