Cookout
There had been an invitation for Excalibur to attend a cookout with the Defenders for Independence Day. Quinn was a Brit by birth, but he had spent half of his life in New York. He considered himself a Yankee as well as a Brit.

When it was time he teleported all from Excalibur who wanted to go to the Defenders compound. Quinn was looking forward to a day in the sun, on the beach and watching girls in bikinis with a lot of good food on hand. Not to mention Asgardian mead. It would truly be a wonderful day.

They arrived in a flash right outside the gates to the compound. It was rude to arrive inside the gates and Quinn didn't feel like fighting. He was a lover, not a fighter.

Quinn set the four cases of German beer he had been levitating down next to the cooler. In a moment he would put them in to get cold, but for right now there were hugs and kisses to give out.

"Hello Beautiful," he said in greeting to Vernique before a hug and a kiss to the cheek. Then he did the same to the other Defender women one by one. Dawn, Marlow, Grace, Aridis and Sydney. Svalin got a warm greeting and a handshake. The Asgardian looked like the type to take his head off if he dared hug her.

Halbjorn and Eiltin got handshakes and Griffin got a friendly slap on the back.

"It's bloody good to see everyone again."

	"I'm glad you all could make it," Sydney said after the hug and kiss. She set the bowl of pasta salad she was carrying on one of the tables. "Please make yourselves at home. 	Casey introduced himself and Sean to everyone. "If you want to hold him let me know," Casey says to Vernique. "English here isn't our leader," Casey says pretty sure they didn't have one, "But we are very friendly." "Thanks I'll probably need that though luckily Sean had a good night's sleep last night."
