One of the best things about being in New York was that nobody was trying to take his picture. It was going to be a lot more comfortable for Albus here. He didn't have to worry about getting places because his boyfriend was famous. Scorpius hooked his hand together with Albus's as the taxi drove them towards the flat Albus had bought.
"I'm looking forward to seeing where we live in person for the first time," Scorpius said. "Although I'm not sure anything can compete with our London flat. Are you going to be awake enough for your classes tomorrow?"

James was drunk, but also excited, and more than ready to see Cepheus. His team had won a big game -- a game that meant they were now vying for second or third in the league -- and they'd gone out celebrating after. James had sent a lot of pouty texts, trying to get Cepheus to come join him, but he'd been busy or something because he kept saying no, and James would have been put out about not being able to crawl all over Cepheus while he was celebrating, but that was fine. He just danced with a bunch of slutty girls and let them try and get his his pants, which were completely uninterested in letting them in.
"Gay and engaged," he hummed to himself, trying to fit his key in the door. The pictures on the blogs were going to be ridiculous. "En-gay-ged." James rattled the door open and fell into the flat, laughing to himself. "Pheeeeeeee, I'm a champion! Chaaaaaaampion! And I'm gaaaaaaay!"

"Are you trying to terrify me on purpose or is it just kind of happening?" Scorpius asked, eying the piles and piles of wedding... stuff that Cepheus had spread out over his and James's flat. Scorpius didn't have any work to do, so he'd shown up to try and help Cepheus get stuff together. Especially since he and Albus were engaged and eventually they were going to have to have a wedding too.
He set down the coffee and sweets he'd picked up on the way over next to Cepheus, then took a seat with him on the couch. "Like marriage isn't scary enough without all this... research and paperwork involved too."

Bruno was coming home from the hospital and Charlotte had spent all day cleaning the house and making sure everything was nice for him when he got back. She'd even made dinner, which sort of made her feel like she was trying to be his little wife or something, but at least she'd made sure to get her homework and everything done first. And to clear the google image search for Jaden's magazine shoots from her browser history.
When Bertie sat up on the couch and started barking at the door, Charlotte grinned and scooped him up, walking to the door and opening it before Bruno could try. "You're home!"

Albus was more nervous than he'd ever been in his life. There were a lot of people from his school waiting in the restaurant, all pretending to be patrons. There was even a piano to play the music for him when he sang his song. Now, all he had to do was get Scorpius to say yes. Which was the part that was scaring him the most. What if Scorpius said no?
He was wearing a suit with a grey and blue bowtie as he led Scorpius into the restaurant and was seated at their table. "Have you ever been here before?"

Caspar wasn't sure how to feel about what had happened. He'd gotten the lead in a musical at school, but that wasn't even the biggest part. The biggest part was that he'd been scouted by another school. An American school, which meant packing up and moving to New York. And it was an amazing opportunity. He just... had to explain it to Xavier. Anna would kill him if he didn't accept.
He took a deep breath and tried to calm down as he waited outside his door. Once he'd composed himself, he reached up and knocked.

Albus had come and visit Scorpius at his work, so Scorpius had decided to come see Albus on his home turf. He'd even brought a lunch he thought Albus might actually enjoy. Scorpius didn't have a shoot for a few days, so carbs were fine today. He had sandwiches and crisps and drinks and this was going to be a great surprise for Albus. Plus, audition results came out today. He'd be here to congratulate or console, whichever was needed. Scorpius assumed Albus would get the role of Tony. He was Albus, and if he was going to do one year at a school before transferring and moving to New York, he was definitely playing the lead in a musical during that one year.
Scorpius walked into the musical theatre building and took his phone out to send Albus a text as he looked around for any sign of curly black hair. Do you know yet?

The ring in his hand was silver, with small diamond chips around the band. Silver, because he thought that gold wouldn't go well with a Malfoy complexion and their sense of style. The ring was in a trembling hand, turning over slowly as the man looked down at it nervously. Was he making the right decision? He didn't want to mess anything up.
"Are you that worried about it?" Cepheus asked as he looked back at Albus, eating some of the salad he'd ordered at the diner. Sure, it was so soon after they'd gotten back together, but Albus was planning to wait a month or so before he actually asked the question. He didn't think he had anything to worry about. "Scorpius has loved you for a long time, Albus."
"I know." Albus nodded, his eyes still focusing on the ring in his hand. It was just that... he was so worried. Worried that it may be too much for his boyfriend. They had just gotten back together, after all. And Scorpius didn't seem like he really wanted to settle down, even if he wanted to move to New York with him. There was a nagging feeling in Albus's gut telling him that it wasn't something that Scorpius was going to want. That they weren't endgame and that he'd be alone for the rest of his life, because Kit certainly wouldn't take him back after this.
And he didn't even really want Kit back. He wanted Scorpius and he wanted Scorpius to want him back more than anything in the world.Marriage was a huge commitment, but Albus wanted it so bad. He wanted to be married before they moved to New York. He turned the ring back over in his hand and let out a soft sigh. "Do you think he loves me enough?"
"I think he loves you more than the whole world." Cepheus told him, nodding his head. "Don't dream it. Be it, Albus. You know that even more than I do."
Albus nodded and stood up. "You're right." He told him. "If I've learned anything from musicals, it's that I have to be a man."
Cepheus couldn't help but snort at that, standing up with Albus. "Let's get down to business. To defeat..... Well. I don't know what we're defeating."
Albus glanced at Cepheus. "My low self-esteem. Let's go."

James pulled the lamb roast he'd made out of the oven and smiled at Cepheus, who was busy doing something wedding related at the kitchen counter. "Your brother isn't going to be upset that you're taking over the manor and becoming your father's official heir or anything, is he?" he asked. "Whatever. We'll hook him up with my uncle and he'll be fine."
Scorpius help Albus's hand as the two of them walked down the hall to James and Cepheus's flat. He was excited. Happy. He was finally going to get to share the good news with other people. He and Albus had mostly been spending time in their flat. Scorpius walked him to school and then went to work. They met up after and they talked about New York and the place Albus had bought there and how they were going to move there and then let life be surprising. "You think they'll be surprised?" he asked, looking at Albus. "We did a pretty good job of breaking up."

James was not at all sure about this whole manor thing. He'd been thinking of a small country house or something to raise their kids in. Somewhere like his grandparents place. Not a whole manor. But he was doing his best to keep an open mind, following Cepheus's directions as he drove them into the wilds of Wiltshire to visit the manor and Cepheus's grandmother. James had even dressed up in one of his new suits to try and impress her, although with the way Cepheus's hand kept finding its way onto his thigh, maybe that had been a bad decision.
"If we crash, it's definitely going to be because you gave me a boner," James informed him, glancing at him and laughing. "Maybe we should have used your car and gotten driven here instead."

Albus had picked up a coffee, was dressed up very nice, all so he could visit Scorpius. He was standing by himself at one of Scorpius's photoshoots, where he knew he was because he'd saw it on a blog, then waited there for him to come out of his dressing room.
When he saw Scorpius walk out, he smiled at him and gave him a thumbs up, even if Scorpius was only wearing a pair of very tight underpants. "Hey. I'm here for moral support today."

Cepheus was having a rough go of it. Not only was he trying to fill out his applications for university, but he was also trying to plan a wedding. Completely by himself. He was a little stressed out about all of it and kept making mistakes and choosing horrible colour patterns and flower arrangements.
He threw his hands up in the air in defeat, deflating a bit on the stool in the kitchen. His eyes moved over the things on the counter. He was too overwhelmed.

Lavinia had come around to Cepheus and James's wedding. Her fathers had gotten off her back about Rex, and she wasn't sure if that was because of the wedding or just a happy coincidence with the timing, but they were distracted. Cepheus was getting married. Lavinia was pretty sure she and Scorpius both had long waits ahead of them before they got hitched.
To celebrate her dads not being assholes anymore, Lavinia had been spending even more time with Rex, when she wasn't doing homework. They hadn't made plans today, but she also had a habit of just dropping in on him and it wasn't like anything could be more awkward than the time she'd met his parents, right? She knocked on the door to his flat and then blinked when a strange boy answered the door. "Is Rex in?" she asked. Had he... gotten a boyfriend? No, right? They were still flirting and stuff and Lavinia wanted him. So... hopefully this wasn't a boyfriend.
"Uh." The boy looked over his shoulder and then shrugged. "Yeah, I guess," he said. "He's a bit busy now, but I think they're almost done." He stepped out of the way and Lavinia walked past him, into the flat, and then found herself watching as Rex and some other boy fucked in his living room, with a couple camera trained on them. Maybe today was a day where she should have called ahead.

Charlotte missed Bruno. The worst part of him being locked up was being alone in the house all the time, and now she'd given him her stuffed unicorn so she didn't even have that to cuddle with. She'd thought about moving back home until Bruno got out, but she didn't like the idea of leaving the house empty for weeks either.
So she'd done the logical thing and got a puppy, except now her puppy was free in the park and having way too much fun to come back when Charlotte called him, and chasing him just made him skip away happily. "Bertie, come back!" she called, and then Bertie was coming to a stop in front of someone and looking up at the stranger happily and then realized that it wasn't a stranger, it was Jaden, and this was incredibly awkward. "I -- Hi," she said, running her fingers through her hair to straighten it out.

Cepheus was kind of nervous. He and James had thrown together a somewhat engagement party in a matter of two days, which meant it was catered and thrown together. But, he thought they looked nice and the house was nice too. They'd even gotten a bigger table to fit everyone that was important to invite. He looked at James, standing there in his suit and bit his lip. "You look too good. You're going to distract me."
Albus could not believe that James was getting married. Let alone Cepheus. He'd not believed it at first. He'd thought that James was joking when he'd gotten the text. He glanced at Kit as they walked up to the building. "Can you believe my brother is getting married? I'm so confused."
Pansy slid her hand into Scorpius's hand as they walked together to the party. "How are you feeling?" She asked. It wasn't very great that Cepheus was getting married at the same time that Scorpius was going through a heart break.

Cepheus could not stop crying. He didn't think anything had ever hurt this bad. There had been a mention in a paper that James may be transferred to an American team to play. Which meant he'd be leaving. He'd be leaving and Cepheus wouldn't be going with him. It was one more way for them to not be together and Cepheus felt like James wanted it to be that way. If he was willing to move, to leave, he didn't want him.
He closed his eyes as he showed up at Xavier's flat, knocking on the door, his hands shaking. Xavier was the only friend he had when Scorpius was busy like he'd been.

Cepheus had been thinking about James for a long time. Even though he was living with his brother, he could make excuses to go to the flat he'd shared with James. Not that he needed one. He owned the place. But, Cepheus had other reasons for going over, and he knew that James wouldn't be bothered about it. Obviously not, since he'd been going on and on to tabloids about how much he loved him.
He entered the flat and slid out of all his clothes, but his pants, then crept up the hallway and entered James's room. James was standing at his closet and Cepheus grinned. Okay, so maybe he was a little horny and he needed James.
"I was having these thoughts." Cepheus told him as he slowly pushed down the side of his pants. "About this time I caught some bloke sucking you off. And I thought, huh. I'd really like to suck someone off right now. You were the only person available. Should I suck your cock, Jimmy?"

James wasn't stupid. He knew that, even if Cepheus had spend the day with him and they'd had sex again, all wasn't forgiven. Mostly because Cepheus hadn't moved back in, but still. James was working on it. He was going to get Cepheus back and then they'd live together again and his grandmother would be much happier about everything because apparently she'd figured out that James was in love with Cepheus faster than James had.
James figured a big gesture was in order. Something other than getting drunk and punching Cepheus's current, obviously inferior, replacement boyfriend. He knocked on the door to Albus's loft flat and waited for his brother to open up. Big gestures meant drama and Al was going to school for that, right? Plus, James did feel kind of bad about sleeping with Albus's best friend and ex and all that. He should probably check up on him.

Caspar hadn't been the best to Xavier since the whole cheating thing. They texted and had coffee and sometimes saw each other, but mostly, he'd been completely emerged in his work and practice. He had a lot to get ready for and he had a few offers on the table to go to New York and perform. Which he hadn't accepted yet.
But, he was ready to talk to Xavier. To be around him. So he'd snuck into his apartment with the key Xavier had given him and made him strawberry and chocolate chip pancakes. As the bacon cooked, he waited for Xavier to wake up, coffee just the way he took it waiting for him on the table.

Lavinia and Rex had texted a lot since they'd gotten off together, but they hadn't really talked about the whole... getting off them, and Rex had cancelled their work out that morning and Lavinia was beginning to feel like maybe getting off with your new -- and only -- friend was actually a terrible idea. Look at Scorpius and Albus. They weren't even talking anymore. Lavinia liked having Rex as her friend. He baked her things and they got along so well.
So Lavinia was going to fix things because she was smart and she could handle this and her dad would probably kill Rex or her or both of them if he was her boyfriend anyway. She showed up outside Rex's flat after school -- after changing into some of the so-called frumpy clothes Rex hated -- and knocked on the door, intent on repairing everything. A handsome, older man answered the door, smiling at her with a confused look on his face, and Lavinia found herself almost wishing she hadn't changed out of her uniform so she could pretend to be selling something for school and retreat. Obviously, Rex was shooting today or something. Or had an older boyfriend. Or... something. "Is... Is Rex in?" Lavinia asked, feeling shy. Of course getting off hadn't ruined their friendship. Rex was just busy and she was a stupid teenage girl who jumped to weird conclusions because of one cancelled workout. "I'm his friend."
She mostly expected to be turned away or told Rex was busy working or something, but the man stepped aside to let her in. "He's in the kitchen helping me make dinner," he said, leading the way down the hall. Now that Lavinia really looked at him, he seemed kind of familiar, but she couldn't quite place him. "Rex, you have a visitor. Done decorating the cake yet? I can finish up dinner. We've got fifteen minutes before he's due to arrive."
