Battle At The End of Time
The YJLA and the Avengers had a busy week. They had been searching the globe for signs of Kang all week, but no trace of the time-traveling conqueror could be found. The people who attacked the YJLA seemed to have disappeared into thin air as well. It had been a quiet week for both teams. Little did they know it was the calm before the storm.

The two teams met at the YJLA headquarters for a brief meeting to go over the results of their searches and to lay plans for the upcoming days. Both teams were gathered in the conference room when there was a bright flash and they were all transported to a spot some distance away from Kang's Fortress at the End of Time.

It was time to fight what should be the final battle in this adventure.

Kang grins at the initial efforts of the Avengers and allies.

"You may as well give up - these aren't the robots you met back in your home dimension, Avengers. The ones outside were... shall we say, outdated models, created to lure you in here. These are programmed with all your weapons, your moves, your weaknesses - and I have 12 worlds worth of research and secrets - ancient magic, technology from Apokalips, Brainiac's shells, the secrets of the Sentry's Watchtower... they incorporate them all. Each of them is as strong as Superman's robots, as fast as the Red Tornado, with dozens of weapons... you're not going to get near me... but just in case..."

He taps a button on a panel near him, and jolts of electricity erupt from the ceiling, doing nothing to the robots, but lashing at heroes who aren't quick enough, seemingly striking at random amidst the fight.

As he does so, the robots seem to pick up speed, not unhurt by the heroes' assaults, but not a one of them is downed either - these obviously aren't the usual mookbots, and there's plenty of them.

	Corinna yelled in pain when the electricity got her. She hadn't moved fast enough but she got herself out of the way. The drew her sword with a snarl. "You coward!" She attacked a Kangbot head on this time. All her strength was going to go into this. Wonder Girl was down right pissed. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

The electricity struck Don as well, and he cried out. He'd never experienced attacks before like he had in this fight. But thanks to Doomsday's powers, Don wasn't put down by the electricity. In fact, the hyper adaptation ability that Doomsday had saw to it that Don wouldn't be hurt as much next time a jolt of electricity hit him.

Don kept pounding together the two Kangbots he was going up against. He /knew/ he could take them down. He felt bad for hoping Doomsday didn't get defeated too soon, for his own safety. Don without powers was a lot easier to squish than the rest of the heroes present.

"Da-shiong bao-jah-shr duh la-doo-tze!" Michael yelled as the electricity arced at him. With small concentrated blasts of hydrogen, he shoots at the ceiling.

Then he gets an idea.

"Everyone, stay down!"

Putting as much power as he can into it without knocking himself out, large chunks of the ceiling become quartz. Michael never worked with Quartz often, but he did learn an important thing about it: Quartz was an insulator.

	Iason has little to worry about for the electricity, focusing on taking on the robots, managing to do significant damage to one of them, and a little bit of heat damage to a few others - but these are still a tough fight. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	AJ was not quick enough, and the electricity hit him hard. "Argh, you bastard..." He falls to his knees, propping himself up with his sword. AJ's Atlantean biology made him tough enough to withstand the attack, but he would need a moment to recover. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Alina's not as lucky as the others. Either she's just tired and slow or the static electricity she'd built up taking out the Kangbots outside makes her an especially attractive target; but she gets tagged by the electricity and hits the floor, twitching and unconscious but still alive. 	Behind her mask, Traya's eyes went wide. In spite of the danger, she forced herself to her feet and tried to recall what she knew about electricity. Lightning required a path of ionized air to hit something. And if there was one thing Traya understood, it was air. Seeing what Traya is doing, Michael uses his knowledge of buildings to create a small structure around Alina, a small metal box with insulated sides, a way to draw the lightning away from Alina and keep her safe.

'Well, this is certainly a bind you're in, kid.'

"Oh, now you decide to show up!"

'Happy to see you, too, kid,' the voice chuckled.

"Good for you. Can you help or are you gonna be useless again?"

'I'll try to help, but I don't know what I can do against this guy. But I would think taking out the supports on those bots would be a good idea.'

Michael, watching the bots blast while behind their shields, decides to make the ground under the nearest one a five foot deep pool of liquid nitrogen.

	As Michael and the others start making headway against the robots, Jon crashes through the wall near Kang. Its only a momentary distraction - he's quickly being attacked by five of the robots and kept well away from Kang - but forces are divided, and however briefly, Kang's attention turns away from coordinating the robots. 	Suddenly less smug, Kang turns, briefly looking away from the battle. His robots are still no pushovers, but they briefly lose the coordination between robots, and the electricity, mostly taken care of by Michael, now stops entirely. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
