Another Night, Another Bottle
Sam Winchester knows, deep down, that he's better than this, better than letting himself drown in self-pity and a cheap bottle of whiskey, but he doesn't care right now. He doesn't care that his brother, Dean, would want him to find a way to move on with his life and get out from under the cloud hanging over him, but Sam doesn't care about that, either.

Dean is dead, and much of Sam's purpose in life went with him. Dean was the one who'd first gotten Sam into hunting, into this life of moving from place to place and helping where they could. He'd been happy in law school, leaving this all behind, before Dean came asking for his help. Every time Sam needed his brother, Dean was there to help, there to encourage him.

But when Dean needed him, Sam couldn't come through for his brother.

He takes another drink, letting the alcohol burn as it runs down his throat. The drinking dulls the pain somewhat, keeping his guilt from eating him alive completely...

...at least, until the whiskey runs out again.

	He couldn't let her take the Impala. Dean would haunt him until the End of Days if he let her take the Impala. Sam was so sick of demons messing with him, controlling his life, but he didn't have a choice at this moment. He had to play along and Ruby knew it. 	Sam doesn't say anything for a minute, taking a deep breath, but it becomes obvious to Ruby /very/ quickly what Sam is thinking. "I know what you're trying to do, but it won't work, Ruby. If Dean was here, he could talk Sam out of this. If Dean was here, he'd be able to resist Ruby, to tell her where she could take her mind games and teasing.

Dean would never be in this situation. He'd find a way to outsmart her or something.

But I'm not Dean and I never will be.

Sam's lips touch Ruby's and he kisses her lightly at first, before pulling her closer to him.

Sam really tries to remember that this is /not/ Ruby, that this is the body of someone who had a real life and goals before now, and that she's being used by a demon.

Even with that fresh in his mind, he opens the shower curtain steps inside, pulling Ruby with him. His lips seek out hers, and now he kisses her deeply. He tells himself he'll make her pay for this somehow, but he knows he won't.

Instead, he simply bites her lip as he grabs her ass in both of his hands, squeezing hard.

Actually, Ruby was sure that if this girl had goals, it was getting out of her coma. She'd show Sam the doctor's reports that proved that she was a vegetable again if she had to.

She kissed him, sighing at the sensation of the water trickling down her skin. After spending all that time in Hell after Lilith sent her back, the warm shower felt as close to heaven as Ruby would ever get.

She smirked as he grabbed her ass, her hand trailing down his chest and below his waist.
