25 July: It's My Party
Four different kinds of gourmet Macaroni and Cheese. Stacks upon stacks of different finger sandwiches, with the yards worth of crusts used to make a couple of heated trays of bread pudding. A pineapple-banana-pecan cake possibly bigger than the birthday girl herself. A small table of vegan stuff, just in case.

Cindy couldn't stop grinning at it. Had she found awesome caterers or what?

The band specialized in swing covers of hard rock songs, but could play just about anything. There was a dance floor. All her friends from school were there, dressed to the eights.

Of course, all Cindy's friends from school didn't really fill up the little reception hall. And she certainly didn't have a big family. But that was okay, more room for her ~~soon-to-be-colleagues~~ fellow super-brats.

And so she scurried, from arrival to arrival, for cheerful welcomes.

Her Royal Highness Caitria Curry did not attend the party. Cait Curry, Teen Titan and trying to be average girl, did attend the party. Cait was in a simple dress she found at a thrift store.

Finding an appropriate gift was tough. Cait was still working out all the social niceties and obligations of surface life and was really unsure what to get Cindy for a gift. Being relatively poor didn't help much either. Cait went with what she was finding to be a tried and true bet. A gift card for fifty dollars was placed in a card from her and Ty.

Cait took a deep breath and entered the room.

	Jon lands out front - flying is still the fastest way to travel. He heads for the front door and knocks politely, offering over an envelope with a gift certificate for $50 worth of CDs. 	"Cindy!" Iris arrived seconds after her brother, gift in hand. She'd managed to scrounge up a poster of the cast of The West Wing, a t-shirt with the name of the show across it, and a calendar featuring a different character for each month. "Happy birthday!" 	Jerry teleported not far away arriving a little bit late which was really good for him. How he had managed to keep his teleporting mostly secret was beyond him but he preferred to keep it that way. 	Cait was a Atlantean out of water at parties, but she was managing. Ty being here helped a lot. She had to focus on him which helped ease her nervousness. Despite growing up in Atlantis and attending court functions all her life, Cait was still uncomfortable a parties. Her hand held his as they moved through the room. (Reply to this)(Thread)
