Donovan knows his father would be barbecuing today, and having people over.

But as he watches his parent's house from his van down the road, he sees that there's no cooking going on. In fact, the house looks deserted. Upon closer inspection, Donovan finds that the home has been vacated completely, no furniture, no cars or anything.

He finally understands why he hasn't received a response from them in months.

Joey never really knew his old man, so Father's Day is really just another day for him. He does, however, help Rose get a gift for Logan.

Then he goes into the city to play some cards and see how much money he can hustle up for the wedding.

Cassidy gets Uncle Scott a card, thanking him for everything Scott has done to help him since he came to the school.

Later, though, when he things about what to say to his own father, Cassidy isn't sure of what to do. So he writes his father a letter, explaining who he is and that he's met Andrew already.

Then he calls his mother, just to hear her voice.

"Och, Aye, sir, I'll explain about football to him again. No, there isn' any worry of his ending up a Rangers fan in New York; they've got a different kind of Rangers here, nothing t'do with The Huns." Moira say Cassidy, smiled and waved.

Matt's second adoptive father is dead, killed by Matt himself.

His birth father refuses to /stay/ dead, to Matt's eternal annoyance.

Today, Matt spends the day helping Ian at the shop out of respect for everything the man has done for him.

Jason makes a card for little Hunter to send to Jake for Father's Day. He plays with the little boy and promises him that his Daddy really does love him, even if he can't be here to show it.

Meanwhile, in another room, Jason's phone rings unheard. His own father is trying to call him, but it's just as well.

Jason's not sure he'd pick up even if he knew where his father was these days.

Avery wasn't feeling very well, but he read over Zoey's card while he sat bundled upon the couch at home. It was the beginning of summer, but Avery was bone cold and had been since the other night.

He was sure he'd get over it, but he wasn't happy about not being able to see Zoey today. He would call her later when he didn't feel so tired.

Svalin was getting used to Migard holidays and customs, but she was still wondering why humans had to have a day set aside to honor their fathers. It also made her think about how her son would never see or know his father. It weighed heavily on her heart and mind.

Alex and his father got spectacularly drunk. Alex, in a bout of his mother's green-tinted precognitive influence, had apparently prepared hangover cures the day before, and hidden them in a strategic location. He hated whenever he left surprises for himself like that, but chose to make an exception.
