Names
They story goes that names -- their meanings, their personal significance in a family -- can end up having influence on a person. What do you think?

Couldn't say, myself. If I'd been a boy, Mom wanted to name me after my grandfather, Vernon Van Dyne. Dad just wanted 'Something French.' So they went with Vernique. French and before that Greek for Bringer of Victory. Same etymology as the name Bernice, so some would say I lucked out in that I didn't end up named Bernie.

I certainly like it.

	I was named Maxwell as a name my parents both liked and they like Max as a good nickname too I guess they were looking towards the future when they named me. My middle name is Italian for Eagle which was a name my mom picked for me. (Reply to this)

	Mom just thought my name sounded pretty, but it means morning, or the start or something new. But Asleif, apparently, means "god-heir." Which goes a long way to explaining a lot. (Reply to this)
