The Big Finale
The city of Star City looked deserted. The citizens had either fled or had been turned into black lanterns. At the heart of the city was the entity known as Nekron. Nekron used the city as his base as his black lanterns ravaged the Earth.

The black lanterns increased their numbers each day and the power levels of the black lantern battery increased with each person that died.

Soon Nekron would have enough power to obliterate all life on this planet.

Nekron is annoyed, as much as a being like him can feel annoyance. These beings and their paltry attacks did not phase him. He would show them that their all of their vaunted power was as nothing to him.

He searched among his attackers and sighted one in particular, a young woman whose fear was visible to him, even through her lust for power. She has touched his power by saving a friend, which gives Nekron the connection he needs to claim her.

"Melissa Storm of Earth....

DIE!" Nekron commands.

"Now, RISE and destroy them!"

It all happens so fast that Mitzi barely has time to register what happens in the last moments of her life. She feels her heart /stop/, feels the warmth leeched from her body in motion, and she falls to the ground beside Adam and Lily, dead.

In the next moment, the Black ring slips onto her finger and she rises and blasts her teammates with fire.

"Sorry, kids. Looks like there's no time for ice cream after all." she smirks.

She turns up the heat.

"Okay...that's it," Lily snarled.

Making her friend a Black Lantern? Crap move, Nekron.

She flew at him, fists flying.

And then...

Lily Troy of Earth...

The wound on her neck started to throb.

"No..." Lily's eyes grew wide with horror, as she flew to avoid the Black Ring flying towards her. "Stay the hell away from me."

DIE!

The Black Ring jammed itself onto Lily, and she screamed out in pain as it overtook her.

"Oh this...this is going to be /fun/." She grinned widely.

	Two people die in front of Warhawk in less than ten seconds. Rather than break his resolve, Rex is saddened that it has to come to this. He didn't really know either of these girls, but someone does, and this is a horrible way to go. Warhawk turns his ring on Lily and Mitzi. "Rest in peace, girls." he says, aiming a blast at them. Adam did not take this well he had already been on the edge of control and this push him over. For a moment he just stopped moving as chaos filled his mind.

Then he raised his fists over his head and brought them both slamming to the ground with what was truly his full strength creating a massive shock wave that caused the nearby buildings to shake.

“I will crush you for this,” he yells.

	God dammit... Mitzi and Lily, dead? Titans East might well be over before it started. Some leader she was turning out to be. It had happened so suddenly... Dinah concentrated all the firepower the Scarab could muster (and it wasn't exactly happy about all the Lanterns, but it knew they were here for a good reason) at Nekron.
