Alex's mother was dead so he didn't do anything for Mother's Day. He did think about her as he wandered around down near the lake.

Lyta took her mother out for breakfast, followed by a spa treatment and then lunch. The rest of the afternoon was spent shopping on Fifth Avenue, followed by dinner at one of their favorite restaurants. They finished off the evening by going to a Broadway show.

Grace sent her mother a card and called to tell her that she loved her. She also got a card for Syd as well.

Molly's mother was dead, so she didn't have anyone to call on Mother's Day. Instead, she made cards for all of the teachers on the Xavier's Staff who were mothers.

May took the subway to Forest Hills to make her mom breakfast in bed and spend the day with her. Dad and Ben helped her with the pancakes, and cleaning the house so that Mom wouldn't have to do anything. It was her special day to be treated like a Queen, and May fully intended on doing so.

Anastasia's mom was a dimension away, so she couldn't do anything special for her on Mother's Day. Anastasia just sat in her room, looking out the window, thinking of her parents and the world she left behind.

Jay does the same thing he does every year mother's day comes around. He heads to his mother's grave, leaves a few flowers, then heads off to a bar for a drink.

Andrea, of course, had no mother. But she'd had three very strong maternal figures in her life, and had arranged for flowers and cards for Mrs. Richards, Mrs. Grimm, and Cassandra.

Asgardians might not celebrate Mother's Day, but Dawn still did. She called her mother, talked about her new job as a researcher for the Defenders (her story and she was sticking to it), and let her known how much she loved her.

And she said a little prayer for Asleif's mother, than her daughter might be returned to her some day soon.

Mason had headed home the night before, arriving just after dawn for his father to let him into the house and start work on breakfast to be served in bed. A family trip to a day spa had been arranged, with dinner reservations at her favorite steakhouse.

Jordan has a tough time with Mother's Day, he always has. He's extremely grateful to the Jeffries', and they're his family. Lillian literally saved his life. But he still spent more than half his life without that contact, they weren't his early influences, and he knows she's 'Mom, not mother'.
As such, while he could easily trump Mason's gifts, he doesn't, letting the midget take the lead. In fact, he honors that connection with his usual gift. In addition to the card, and new pictures of him and Mason and their teammates, there's a gift certificate for her to go to lunch with just her and Mason while he's home.

He also quietly writes checks to the Sisters of Charity of Montreal for the nuns, and another for breast cancer research, sending them out anonymously.

Marrina returned to her hometown to spent it with her mom, Elizabeth Smallwood (and delivered unto her a sea-pearl necklace). Later, she returned to Atlantis and had Namor take her to where her birth mother was burried.
