This week's question:

What one thing would you begrudgingly give up to make love last?

....
Being Da's second, maybe. I don't know if begrudging's the right word, but it's going to be hard.

...Just about anything short of my integrity, or his safety.

I don't think Kseniya would ask me to give up anything, so it's a good thing I'm saving myself.

Is it really possible to give up something to make love last? If someone truly loved you they wouldn't make you give something up. They'd accept you for who you are.

Yeah, but there's circumstantial things. People can't be in two places at once.

There's cloning, but that usually gets messy. But I understand your point.

It depends on the girl. I'd stop cheating at cards for her. I might even consider getting a real profession.

Others.

Not my first choice, but I could do the monogamy route if I had to.

I can't say for sure if I could do it... but if someone I loved wanted me to stop fighting crime.. I'd do my best.

I don't think I could ever love someone who'd make me do that though.

Echoing Anya's sentiment, but... I could give up heavy metal if I had to.

Anyone I love will have to accept that at least one full room of the house is going to be workspace for my designs.

If it was the difference between keeping my love and not, I'd do my best to let go of how much I hate him.

Anything material.

I don't like 'things', greatly. I like power.

It depends on the kind of love. Romantic love doesn't seem worth giving up anything to make it last.

Familial love, on the other hand....maybe I'd let some bygones be bygones.

I've never been that far with someone. Once I do, I might have a better answer.

I ruined a relationship by holding on to secrets and I paid for it dearly.

I'd give up my secrets to keep someone, but no others.

Real love means you accept the other person, and don't ask them to change on your behalf.

But I'd be willing to consider some things for the right person.

I'd cut down on the number of bar-fights I get into. Or maybe even trips to the bar itself.

If I'm willing to give something up, I won't begrudge the sacrifice. Love is supposed to be worth it, right?

It's hard to say. I've never really felt that way about anyone before, so I don't know what I'd give up to keep it.

I honestly have no idea. I've never felt that way before and I really don't have much at all to give up so I really don't know.
