Names
Another question about names again. This time, the ones you'd favor for any hypothetical children of yours.

I like pretty old-fashioned names, like Sally or Lily for a girl or Saul for a boy -- yes, those are all supporting characters in Rex Stout novels. Shut up and tell me yours.

Well, I've always been a fan of the classic names. Joshua, Jacob, Michelle, Miranda. Stuff like that.

Although I would not be against a kid named after my parents.

::grins:: Miranda's a great name.

I like names that are uncommon.

Cordelia, for a girl. I've always thought it was pretty and old fashioned.

This next name is not so uncommon, but for a boy, John. For my grandfather.

Cordelia is nice. And family names are good.

Ezio, Alexander, or Jacob for boys.

For girls? I try not to think on it too seriously. It's always been traditional in my family for women to select the names for any girls. But I like Rosemary, Hannah, and Crystal for girls personally so maybe I can convince someone else to like them.

I'm all for naming kids after important people in my life. For a boy, Steve, after my father (yeah, and the bowhead, too).

Though I've always liked Elizabeth for a girl's name.

Alice would be flattered. I would consider naming my daughter Alice as long as 'Auntie' would be her godmother. It's vital that a little girl has strong role models in her life.

Nicholas is a good name no matter how you slice it up. You have good taste in names.

They're going to be raised in the future, so the boy won't have any problems with pop culture references to his name.
