The grand ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel on 57 East 57th street was festively decorated for the holidays. A series of lit candles on every table gave off warm light and the dulcet tones of a jazz ensemble filled the room.

People, the upper elite of New York society, Hollywood celebrities, musicians, politicians and even superheroes moved around the room. People sat at tables and talked, while some moved gracefully around the large dance floor.

Tables loaded with unwrapped and unopened toys lined one wall and at one end stood a very large decorated Christmas tree. Wrapped presents sat under the tree, but they were just empty boxes wrapped for decoration. Mistletoe hung from the ceiling near the tree and people stopped to kiss.

The air was light and the mood happy and festive.

	Anya loved the annual winter charity ball. It was one of her favorite parties of the year. She wore a red dress as always. Anya brought an armful of toys to put on the donation table. Ren Tech also donated a truck full of toys. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	Nim was wearing a little number the designers in Atlantis had come up with (after she'd vetoed their first idea with the absolute cleavage ). She'd brought toy boats, of course, but had also written a rather sizable check. Oracle, Inc./trust fund money came in handy sometimes, especially since she rarely did anything with it otherwise. 	Asleif had, in fact, been a bit undecided upon whom she would attend with... or if she would attend at all, but then Vincent had asked, and she did value his friendship, so she supposed why not. 	Korra arrived at the party without a date, but she wasn't going to pass up a good cause. She wore a white dress that her and her mother had picked out (she trusted her mom's fashion sense more than the designers in Atlantis). She donated a collection of Finding Nemo toys. 	Alice went with her cousin, Tim. He needed to get out of the lab, and this was the perfect excuse for it. She smiled, wearing a blue dress. She donated a bunch of teddy bears, all wearing little SHIELD uniforms. There was even one with an eyepatch. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	He hadn't wanted to go. It was against all sensible dark elf etiquette. However, his friends did not want him home alone, particularly after the events of the failed assassination. Still... 	Charlotte Lensherre loved christmas. The decorations, the food, the family...and she loved her boyfriend and happily kept her arm wound around his as they descended the stairs, passing over her hand-made gift of a ragdoll (it was a little lopsided, but made with love) to Angelo to put on the table with the rest.
